It took the last flash of prime Shogun to derail him, and those were epic fights. The first fight between Machida and Shogun is to this day one of the most technical striking matches in MMA history.

Boy in hendos later years he looked so stiff...... it was inside leg kick..over hand right and clinch when needed. And he was still dangerous....... he was a great wrestler but in the twilight of his career was just ready to uncork that right hand. He was a badass in pride ......ko wanderlia and how can we forget him being a natural middleweight but still ko'd Fedor 💁‍♂️.... no hate ...love hendo 🎯💯🎯

That wasn’t a tough fight. Machida absolutely refused to engage and did the minimum it took to win by extreme boredom. Hendo is a warrior.

Basically just 3 rounds of Loto Machida running away from his opponent. He is such a boring fighter. If a fighter does not pressure him then he does nothing to engage.

@@Dankelheit Many times? What were you watching? He caught him with a head kick several times and they weren't always clean. It was close that's why it was a split. Machida won the first it was close until that trip ontop won him that round because you could have had it either way.. Second was all Hendo but there wasn't much action of anything that was hugely significant. Third was super close it was back and fourth but Machida landed cleaner shot's. Now they scored it a split it was more of a draw. Machida just about let this slip away because he wouldn't engage and Hendo was trying to blast him and was way more aggressive. One big right hand from Hendo would have changed the outcome not a KO either.
