My husband lost his battle in 2011. We do recover as God took my addiction away in 2016!! It's like that was another life. I'm a grandma now watching my daughter struggle while I help raise her 4 kids and thankfully we have my mom too! We don't have a lot, we struggle with paying bills like so many others. We have God, lots of love, roof over heads, food in our bellies. We have enough, I'm blessed. Pray for my daughter to be released from addiction and have the peace I do knowing God got me.❤

True words. How did you go with your journey? I have been through the opiate journey and am still on the subutex program. It was meth that steadily made its way into my life from then on in. I am now 32 days clean from meth, and years clean from H. Good luck on your journey to recovery. Never cease getting back up, and walking on again. Little by little, day by day.

@@joachimcoonan6255 been clean ever since. Met my wife. Married in November 21’. We had just started dating. Didn’t know where this relationship would go which is why I didn’t mention. but she worked across the way at a psychiatrist office and we started talking and shortly after dating at that point. I jumped. She and many of my friends and family saved me. It’s still a struggle. When life cripples an addict it’s easy enough to say fuck it. That’s been my motto. Fuck it…Especially with H. Not anymore. I’ve had too many things in between. Sister getting pregnant and having my nephew/godchild. Marrying the girl that got me off of methadone and heroin. Not because of that but because we genuinely were so similar in our pain that our relationship made us happy to be miserable and then to become happy to be in love..What I can say is that it’s not impossible. It’s not. I thought it was. It takes nothing more than knowing your worth. Being accountable and not be willing to be fed lies as in to say you can’t do it on your own. I won’t go back. I can’t. I owe it to everyone who stuck their neck out for me in the hopes I would never pick this habit up again. We all know it’s few and far between. Truth be told haven’t thought about it in a while. Stay safe. It’s not worth it. At all…

Same here. Im only 31 but i have been raised by a southern single father who brought me up on Skynyrd and nothing but 100% classic rock. My son just turned 9 today and his brother is 7 and they too love classic rock. Its simple it's the Talent. Nobody putting out music today has anything on the old stuff. Classic Rock compared to Rap ends up with better kids. CLASSIC ROCK FOREVER! I actually lost my dad two weeks ago and listening to Skynyrd helps me alot.
