The guitar solo is so unbelievably good that people overlook just how good the bass player is. He's wearing that bass out.

It's really a treat when I see other reactors pick out Leon Wilkeson, the bassist. So many listeners say there are 3 guitars in the band, almost disrespecting Leon on bass -- the FOURTH GUITAR in the band! The icing on this umpteen layer cake of a song as far as the bass is concerned comes at 12:04 of the video; Leon fingers so many notes, so fast, so cleanly on those thick cables (not thin strings), it's a wonder he didn't break a finger or two!
Here for this one. My aunt passed after a very painful battle with cancer. I was driving when my mom called to tell me. This track came on as soon as I ended the call. This was her way of telling me she's not gone she's still watching over her loved one's. Crying happy tears already.

@@brainsqueezereactions I'm a full grown crybaby. Can't remember what reaction you mentioned the 4 different types of people? Sorry I'm misremembering exactly how you said it. I'm a empath. I can feel emotions from music, body language, sometimes I can tell what you're thinking before you thought it. Doesn't work if you ask me "what am I thinking" because then you think I have no idea what you are thinking an blocked what you are actually thinking 🤔 I think ❤️

"He should be arrested. He's murdering his guitar." Grrrrreat line.
These guys are amazing. Pink Floyd was my mom's gift to me, Lynard Skynard was my dad's. He saw them at their very last concert here in Greenville. They flew out and plane crashed at some point after sadly. They stuck around for a while, but with the losses it was never the same.

I was born in 76. This was the music that played me to sleep as an infant. It's in my soul.

I love how you said, "Mellow track, man" ... and I was thinking ... get in , sit down, shut up and HOLD ON !!! This song is right up your alley🤟🙌👍👍👀😎. The group's name was made as a play on 1 of the band member's gym teacher's name, Forby Leonard Skinner. Hey man, great reaction ... you EARNED that sweat !!! Cheers, man !!!
Love this record the way the guitarists play off each other
GREAT BAND! I live 45 minutes away from where their plane went down. I was in high-school. SAD DAY(the day the music died)!😥😥😭😭 You got the name right! 😉Enjoy their catalog. 😏😁✌️❤️🔥🎶💯😎 GIMME 3 STEPS, SWEET HOME ALABAMA...🥰🥰🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻This song STILL gives me GOOSIES!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥may I suggest E.L.O? 🔥😉
Alan Collins wrote the song then they dedicated it to Duane Allman from The Allman Brothers band and then when the plane crashed happened in 77 they rededicated it to Ronnie Van zant. But Alan Collins originally wrote it for a girlfriend
Is nobody going to mention that the solo at the end is a double solo? Those guys are both playing the same solo, in perfect time, most of the time not even looking at each other. These guys are some of THE BEST.

Awesome show, I was at this concert in 1977 at the Oakland Coliseum. Another "Day on the Green" concert series by Bill Graham. I think he sponsored 61 "Day on the green" concerts in all. 5 or 6 bands, and they played all day long. $7.00 tickets and only 20 minutes from my house. The 60's and 70's turned out so many great bands, and their music will never be matched. Shedmen
This was such an Anthem when I was in junior high and then that plane crash ended it all, not long after this concert in fact. They named their band after their gym teacher, laugh, and because they're very first self-titled album, which had this song on it, had a phonetic Guide to the pronunciation of it on the album cover, it immediately informally became known as the Pronounced Album.
I can never get tired watching this epic performance !
Every time i see this i wait for that guitar to explode💥💥✌
This is hands down my favorite reaction anybody has ever done of Freebird and Skynyrd is my absolute favorite band Ever !
Glad you liked them - if you want stunning guitar performance, watch Stevie Ray Vaughan live in Memphis!
"Cheeto's stained fingers"?... that's hilarious. Yes, you pronounced it correctly... great reaction, Mark!! This performance by LS was awesome.
In 1977 this was one of the hottest songs out in the USA.

I delivered Lynard Skynard's personal band equipment, fro 0:21 1:15 m Reno Nevada, USA, to San Francisco California, airport, about 20 years ago.
I really enjoyed seeing the joy on your face watching this legendary song. Have you ever seen Queen Live Aid at Wembley? Its 20 minutes so may be too long for you, but it is amazing!!!!
I love how 5 minutes into it he states, "What a mellow tune."
It's an unbelievable masterpiece today, but back in the 70s, it was just another sweet day of Rock-n-Roll 😉 🎸
nothing better than watching Hector on a Saturday afternoon losing his mind. I am down for this. Wait let me grab another beer first. Ok Let's go!
Good job on the name...funny...never imagined never having heard the band name trying to pronounce it. Awesome to hear your reaction. I'm SURE boat loads of Skynyrd fans will be embracing you for venturing out into their world!
I luv you more after seeing you reacting to this! One of my all-time favorites! Thanks ❤️
I swear like a drunken sailor as well. I dig the economy of swearing...it says so much with such economy. As for Skynyrd...I will never stop being BLOWN AWAY by this performance. PARANORMAL performance all around. Leon Wilkeson on Bass guitar...Dude was locked into that groove like a machine. I have loved these guys ever since I first heard them as a teenager almost 50 years ago. You been missing out on some CLASSIC shit dude. Welcome to ROCK.
I’m 65 . Congratulations on your new journey ! Grew up with these guys & Floyd. Perhaps we were more cool than you thought. LoL !
❤ Love your videos!! Your enthusiasm is totally contagious!! You'd be blast to have along at concert! 🤟🏻🤩 💨Most everyone was high at these concerts😏 The stadiums would smell of reefer the entire day and night. If you went to an indoor show, there was commonly a thick, low hanging cloud over the main floor 😁 Good times - people were happy, friendly, rockin' out 🤟🏻❤ 🔥Please consider checking out a lesser known Skynyrd song from the last album ('77) released before the plane crash that claimed Ronnie Van Zant (vocals), Steve Gaines (guitarist) and Cassie Gaines (backup vocals) in Oct '77 🕊🕊🕊 💥"I Know A Little" (studio version) is a very well played little dity with kickass guitar riffs/solo and a short but very sweet piano solo 🔥 No one can play guitar on this song like the man who wrote it, Steve Gaines🕊 Please - • studio version only • The much later live recordings by the rebooted 😒 Skynyrd are quite pale renditions 💩 ❤ Keep on rockin 🎶 🤟🏻
Top Tier Hector. Prince at the Rock n Roll hall of fame is surely another everyone needs to hear.
Their song,,,,,Call Me the Breeze,,,,is just as good. 💥💥💥👍😎 Your reaction was PERFECT,,,👍
Ahhhhhh Hector how did I miss this one?! Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of my favorite bands and I love this live version of Freebird❤ Quick story......back in 1989 I lived 3 houses down from Artemis Pyle, the drummer. In just a working class beachy neighborhood in Jacksonville Beach,Florida. He was such a decent guy, teaching his kids to ride bikes, mowing his lawn lol. Occasionally he'd come down and drink cheap beers with me and my hippie friends🤣yehhhh,,good times man~!!
First time I heard this in 77 got chills, listening right now chills again, you are listening to the greatest music in history, ENJOY!!!
Nice one Mark! I saw you getting excited halfway through and me knowing the best was yet to come LOL! This was VERY popular when I was in the Navy in the late 1970's. I can't remember how many bars I was in and hearing people chant "Freebird, FREEEEEEEBIRRRRD!" Loving this foray into classic rock... yes to Led Zepplin, Queen, Aerosmith, Rush and definitely more Floyd. ❤❤❤
Liked it as soon as I seen ya did this... before watching! Because I KNEW YOU'D FEEL IT!!!!
There were over 63 thousand people that day. Only 3 months before the fatal plane crash.
I am addicted to your joy in music. I thought music possessed me until I watched you. Now THAT is possession!! God damned beautiful (and the band was pretty good too).
Amazing performance of an amazing song, fun tidbit is that guitar Allen Collins is playing is an original Gibson Explorer from the 1950s worth millions now, it would be worth millions even if he hadn't played it, it's that rare.
LOL, so glad you liked Skynard!
Calm down and swear on my brother. This old Texan has your back Sunshine!
This song has been in many a film. It also became a cult move ( at least in the southern US)to yell out ( repeatedly)Freebird as a request towards the end of other artists shows. Some took it better than others. One jazz group actually fulfilled the request playing a very deconstructed jazz interpretation ❤ it took a bit for the requestor to recognize the song😂
Please please please do "The Ballad of Curtis Lowe" (sp) by Lynard Skynard!! That was always my favorite song growing up and means even more to me in the last few years given a better understanding of the social environment.
One of the greatest rock tunes of all time!!!❤
Best guitar solo ever
during the wild solo section, pay attention to the backing progression-classic boogie woogie just thumping along no matter what craziness was going over top. Even without the solo it’s an incredible jam…and they put three more guitars on it lol
Part of this song was in Forrest Gump. The scene where the girl is strung out standing on a balcony and thinking about jumping.
Every Instrument a masterclass And you heard it.🙏💝🎇
Mark, you're going to fall out of your chair when you play " Working For MCA " by Skynyrd... ENJOY the ride!
Most recent movie I remember using this song is Forest Gump, when Jenny climbs up on the balcony railing and considers jumping.
Those were the days of my childhood, God how miss the 70s, 80s & early 90s best dam music 🎶 Ever!
I've seen all your Ren reactions!! I LOVE YOUR ENERGY!! I am SO EXCITED for this reaction!!! 😊
Thanks for the flashback. You killed it too!
This is Southern rock that this Southern woman grew up on. This is my all time favorite band. Check out my favorite song off theirs...Call Me The Breeze.
So the guy playing piano originally a roadie for Lynyrd Skynyrd and when they were at muscle shoals recording the rest of the band came in and heard Billy Powell playing free bird on the piano that's how he got the job as being The pianist for Lynyrd Skynyrd

Been a Skynyrd junkie for 50 years. I love watching this song blow peoples mind for the first time. It's hilarious to watch reaction-ers cover their ears when they are topped out and ask "what the fuck is this". And I smile because I know... Lynyrd Skynyrd is not done with you yet! Freebird is quite simply, a Rock and Roll Orgasm! And when you think you are close, they tease you a little more. It's magical. By the way, today is the 33 anniversary of Allen Collin's death (the "THAT'S HIM" dude who should be arrested because he was murdering his guitar). RIP Allen, Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, Leon, Billy, Bob & Jo-Jo. Gary and Artimus, you guys are not allowed to die until your in your 100's.
