It is so obvious this whole thing has breathed a whole new strength into George. And he was already a beast, always has been. He's pretty much putting the exclamation point on the word legend. Was there in the 80s opening for Aerosmith, in the 90s Wicked Sensation, Dysfunctional, there have been so many highlights, and this just adds another. Just can't get over how lucky we are as fans that he just keeps getting better and better, as if that was ever even possible. At some point, everyone's gonna have to admit, there's a few players like George and Nuno that Eddie's gotta be smiling down as he watches them play. Who would have thought back in 77 when VH kickstarted things we would get to this point to see this kind of masterful wizardry just doesn't stop. As lifelong fans, just can't get over how much he keeps blowing everyone away. George and Ed were buds starting out. Would love to hear if they stayed in contact through the years. At some point, we're going to have to officially name George as the heir apparent. It's just becoming unavoidable. Not to mention. This song is 40 years old. If this performance doesn't kick you in the wah wah pedals, you should probably just call it a day and change genders.

Cannot get over how incredibly awesome this is. It has become one of our favorite performance videos on youtube hands down period. The life that blows out of the song and this performance is just amazing. Don D said in a recent interview when George joined Dokken on stage George was looking for something new and they didn't talk much. Love Don, and everything he did for all of us, Dokken will always be a package deal, has been for almost 40 years, but the answer to that is pretty simple, and pretty obvious. About 18,000 new ways to kick our @$$. George is just plain amazing. He doesn't have to play these classics. He doesn't have to go find talent that rips 'em up, lights 'em up, and makes them their own, but he does. As does the band. And gall dangit, it works x 10,000. Think you could line up every Dokken, Lynch Mob, and Lynch fan single file to thank George, it would circle the globe twice and still would not be enough gratitude to show the man for all he has done for us. He could just hit the road and play. He could just hit the road and play the hits. He could just put out new stuff and call it good. But no, he hits the road so hard it begs for mercy, the hits seem like they were just written last week so hard Megadeth's guitarist would go wawazat?!? while Dave M just sits back and grins, then joins in, and the new stuff is so tasty it makes ya wanna go back and listen to everything he's ever done, come back to the new album, then start all over again. Including the UDO track. Anyone who does not think George is EVH's heir apparent for King is just not paying attention. King Sir Ed has passed the throne and crown to King George. With performances like this, it's just plain hard to think of any metal player hitting the stage and playing this song with any more dead on sweetness and light it up performance. The man is amazing. The number of metal guitar tricks he pulls out on this song is like a six string encyclopedia on how to rip it up and leave the crowd begging for more. Unbelievably friggin cool.
