Lymphangiography and intranodal glue embolization for treatment of lymphocele

Pelvic lymphoceles commonly occur as a complication of pelvic surgery and vascular catheterization.
Conventionally, the lymphoceles are managed by percutaneous drain placement or chemical sclerotherapy, or more aggressively by surgery.
In recent years, accessing subcutaneous lymph nodes and lymphangiography has gain popularity for quick recovery from lymphocele. Lymphatic embolization has been described where dilute glue is directly injected into the lymph node draining into the leaking lymphatic vessels to treat the upstream lymphatic leak.
