Those are shoulder thumpers .

If you use that mold much the pin holding the knob on will burn and/or break the thin wood around it, causing it to slip off. Lyman needs to address this. Also, have you ever tried opening the sprue plate with a deep well socket instead of hitting it with a maul? It won't make as much difference on a steel mold, but it keeps from messing up the threads on aluminum molds like Svarogs.
