Just curious, on the step counter part, is it good, does it work perfectly? Adding on, does the step counter also reset automatically as the day chnages?

Not perfect, but quite accurate. At midnight it resets to zero.

The materials here are budgetary. It is not suitable for work. G-shock is much better.
