@@norco1606 She is fun indeed IMO, but I agree her damage is very underwhelming for a so-called 5*. I been had her & her free bow on the PS4 and I eventually dropped her after a few weeks over better picks for team comps. But again she is fun to play. I ran Bolide on her and got similar numbers 35k-55k ish as DPS. I don't think he mentioned her free bow we got on the P4 so am assuming it's not included on PC & Moblie unless I missed something.

she is one of those forgettable chars then. i guess i would just friendship 10 her for completionist sake and then bench her. i played around her and honestly not worth getting her to even lvl 70 IMO unless you really like her.

By the way, in case you weren't aware Aloy has a 0.1 second cool down before she gets another coil stack, which is why the rushing ice effect doesn't work when you group the bombs together

if you have kazuha, use his E first his wind tunnel will slowly filter in the bombs i hole they remove that cooldown when she gets constellations

Yeah this is a pretty accurate review. I have raised her and she is basically similar to Chongyun with some battery potential. But the fact that she doesn't have constellations is really brutal for her unfortunately =/

They botched her inclusion in every way possible. She's a 5-star on paper only, and her kit is gimped on purpose I'd bet because Mihoyo has proven aplenty they are very much not okay with handing out free 5-stars. Which sucks for any future crossovers and just in general. Hope they reverse course on this.

Shes on some of the faster abyss runs with whales because of how frontloaded her damage is. The comparison to chongyun is quite fair other than the fact that her AOE is immense and she has access to oneshot weapons like Stringless and Harp

i have Aloy at level 80 with an R1 Rust. I run her in a team with xinquiou, surcrose and bennett. Talents are 6, 6, 6 at the moment. Running the 4 piece blizzard. My fave team for her is xinqaou, sucrose and bennett. This gives her a lot of effectiveness against multiple targets. I've also run her with 3 piece blizzard, 2 piece noblesse to really boost her ult. The stacks take a little practise but sucrose really helps here. I find her a blast to play

Tbh, I find Kokomi firefighter team comp with bennet, xiangling, xingqiu is far more usable than Aloy. She cannot find a way to apply Cryo effectively without the support from Anemo Characters.

As aloy main this is what I learned in 3 weeks / some things you missed I hope it helps for aloy guide f2p melt : > surcrose is the best anemo for aloy She triggers chillwater bombs individualy, dragon tales boost aloy's burst,high em boost > Stringless r5 her best weapon huge great boost for skill/burst and also em for melt > Main focus stats crit dmg/crit rate/atk/em > Her best artifact 4pc lavawalker > Team comp Aloy/xiangling/sucrose/bennet Melt Comp 2 (Best) Aloy/klee c2/sucrose c6 /bennet c5 Wombo Combo speed run : aloy E/sucrose burst, E/bennet burst/xiangling burst, E/aloy burst . Result: Aloy should be dealing 240k - 314k lvl 6 burst but in lvl 10 (w/klee) she deals 412k burst (not perpetual mechanical array) and e deals 100k+ (lvl6 E no melt) rotation rly works for ice rushing state (10 sec 35% cryo bonus) Soon I'm double crown 👑👑 because aloy is so fun, her E might be dmg potential for now she stays lvl 6 maybe try different combo I'll do that if her constellation release I hope @iwintolosegaming can see this ^^

@@tubisi Because they're running a Melt comp, applying a lot of Pyro and reverse melting with Aloy. Meaning she hits enemies with Pyro applied to them, resulting in a damage boost for her.

Remove the ICD of the coil charge effect so her E can give instant 4 stacks if all bomblets hit the enemy. The innate cooldown is so unnecessary and removing it wouldnt even make her broken. And as you mentioned, if her burst provided the rushing ice effecf albeit for a shorter duration she would be much better since her burst only has 40 energy

Kazuha does work, you have to throw the stacks into the black hole he makes after his skill plunge attack. Then it will suck in the bombs 1 by 1 and activate the coil stacks. So do Kazuha's skill first, then throw the bomb at the black hole he creates

I'm guessing you meant to say "Windblume Ode" instead of "Compound Bow" for her melt builds.

The fact that she's so lackluster makes me really hopeful for future earned constellations like with the Traveler. I have a completely neglected C5 Chongyun that I know is technically more usable, but I like Aloy as a character better and also have better weapon options for her. All it would take is knowing constellations would eventually be available for F2P to heavily invest in her.

Would be cool to see Gacha Gamer's build too, he built Aloy focusing only on her E and Q on quick rotation team, maximazing her nuke damage. He built her with stringless and 4pc nobless/2pc nobless + 2pc blizzard

I'm on ps4 and enjoy Aloy. The anemo traveler palm vortex really matches with Aloy's bomblets/0.1 sec cool down. That combo with Anemo VV shred really improves Aloy's rushing ice since you can proc it more consistently and the cooldowns pair well together.

Thank you! I have been holding on upgrading my Aloy in 2.2 and waited for your video. Now I know it was a right thing to do :)

Xiangling truly shines at constellation 4&5 though. Nevertheless, she is still one of the best sub dps characters even at c0. Aloy feels like a bland 3* character though. Mediocre damage, clunky coil mechanic, low base stats for a 5* character and no constellations.

The constellation menu teases us that they will be coming eventually. I thought it would be this patch since everyone gets her, but I guess it's either to the release of the game or random. So I think her true potential comes with her constellations as with other 4* characters. More bombs, less Cooldowns, better stacks and what not.

i cannot thank aloy enough, leveled her up to 20 -> ascend -> free fate -> mona on 47 pity although i must agree shes the first 3 star character

When you're lvl 29 and you can't lvl up kokomi past 40 and aloy past 20.

Or when you have a level 20 Sayu and level 20 Aloy. The resource thing is definitely going to be a problem going forward for new players, as they add more four stars like Sayu, as well as start re-running banners with characters from places other than Mondstadt and Liyue. You can get the mats for Kokomi and the like if you really want to, though. Prior to the patch, you could exploit Kokomi's perma-water walking to walk to her island. Now, well, it'd be a slow trip, but Kaeya + Anemo Traveler can do it. Probably best way currently is to round up a few others in the same (lack of) boat and Kaeya party it.

​@@Axterix13 Atually it's not that hard to get the resource, i'm a newbie and it's only take me about 5 day to get to AR 30 and travel to Inazuma and about 1 hour to collect enough resource to get her to lv60. All you need is run around every single map and activate all the teleporter mark every collectable item location you found before doing mission, it's gonna save you alot of time.

This went so much more in depth than expected thank you!

C1 Sucrose can realiably give Rushing Ice, the fact that Aloy can get a stack every .1s is what makes Jean and Kazuha not great, I'd wager Venti Q is bad as well

There was a bug when Aloy was first released on PS, she only needed 1 mora each time you use exp books on her. Because of this, I got a level 90 Aloy that costs less than 100 mora lol

She is very decent in melt comp as a subDPS (burst): 2x Pyro / 2x Ice comp (Bennet, Xiangling, Chongyun and Aloy). She can melt both skills with a single fire application, which is great for quick swap.

Yes please aloy guide would be very helpful considering especially freeze team with ayaka and kokomi where diona isn't needed much for the heals and aloy could be used as a sub dps . However as u said there are other cryo units ,personally I'd like to know what would be the best sub dps for my ayaka kokomi freeze team.

i think i will build her after i figure out the nightmare that is xinyan, she has been so difficult to build. thank you for the great video!

@@raulmaltrain6893 Or run her with Rosaria, bennet, and razor. Razor can act as the main DPS in this comp, lots of phys/def shred. Eula instead of Rosaria is another cryo option for more phys shred and phys burst. Another budget option is Electro traveler for battery/superconduct, and Xiangling for pyro resonance and chili pepper.

@@swk0t0rfan You would be missing out on superconduct without an electro character, as well as the attack boost of pyro resonance and bennet's boost. You could go Eula, Rosaria, Xinyan, and Sara though, But Sara only buffs one character at a time. Razor also shreds def which will make phys do more damage and will be more evident against bigger enemies like ruin gaurds/bosses. Though if you have Baal, you can go Rosaria, Ball, Eula, Xinyan as a quick swap burst comp. Might need to build a bit more energy recharge on Xinyan though, maybe get her to 100%~ish.

@@cyrosgold7 the reason why i want to run her is for her shield and Q, but its hard to make a build that works for both, which is why its been a nightmare. her kit has some good things for a support, its just the split scaling makes it hard to optimize her kit.

She is fun in over world. If you don't have yoimiya she take down the balloons very quickly. Her kit is fun and does decent DMG. But yeah never took her in abyss, but C6 rosaria is a bit unfair for her as well.

Nice video as always. I think I'll try using Aloy for melt with Thoma when he released later and Windblume Ode EM. For now, Aloy will be resting at my new Inazuma Teapot for Friendship Point.

I think Aloy is another perfect example of Mihoyo's bizarre recent trend in character design. Why do her bombs need a 0.1 second delay for triggering coil stacks? What does that actually achieve outside making her gameplay feel terrible and clunky? Is it going to be the same thing that happened with Sara where you need her constellations to make her feel like a properly designed character?

me and my level 20 aloy drawing a 5* from standard banner: She's not that bad afterall.

I like Aloy and I'd love to build her on my other acct. The only problem for me is her cooldown on gaining the stacks, I wish there were no stack gain cooldowns so that gathering those things in the would max stack her easily

I have try aloy an hour ago before watching your video,my aloy hit 10k with a suck artifact and i use windblume ode R2(cause i miss the event) and I'm kinda impresse 😍

Haven't lost hope yet, personally. My thought is that we'll get her constellations for free, and at C-4/6 she'll perform similarly to a 5 star C0/1. Which wouldn't be meta breaking, but very good for a free character

@@Swagbastian one of the slowest too.... no offense, but most of her constellations are shitty, she's only used as a thrilling tales user

I've been using her as a noblesse bot on ps4, she is pretty good at that, just use the Elemental Skill right before the Burst and you have your Burst back up long before the noblesse effect ends with only like 150% ER, Windbloom Ode was like the only weapon I had extra for her and it honestly kinda works lol

Question. Can I do a budget morgana team with her? I don't have ganyu and I don't really plan on pulling for ganyu. I know I won't be able to really big dmg with her but would it work?

Sense mihoyo didn't fix this we can no longer trust any collab characters.

I didn't knew about the pigeons, so I will use Aloy for that from now on as well. Until now I mainly used my level 20 Aloy to defeat the eye if the storm in my daily commissions, since she perma freeze it with here arrows and that way slowly defeats it, giving the eye absolutely no change to do any damage to me. But other than that I hardly ever use her, too bad, because the game Horizon is fantastic!

You really are a time management machine...

They should do a FF7 cross over and bring Cloud or the favorite villian.

Given how underwhelming she is in terms of damage, I wouldn’t mind if mihoyo had made her a completely exploration-oriented chara instead. Her only “useful” trait is her hunting passive. It would be cool if they could expand on her as an open-world explorer, like making ice bridges faster, able to jump up those annoying notches on cliffs that make your chara stuck while climbing, speed gliding like that maple fan thing, frozen ice constructs, immunity to open-world sheer cold, etc. I know there are charas like Ayaka, Ganyu, Kazuha, Zhongli, etc that do this but it would be cool if a free chara could do them all in one since not everyone has all of those limited 5*s. Also her damage can be complete jack shit, no one would use her in the abyss, but at least she’ll be slightly more useful than she is now.

Hey I'm currently building my aloy with a pretty decent lavawalker set. Would it be too troll to run a raven bow on top of em sands? I'm just trying to get damage per screenshot bursts and I don't have any 5* bows. (I do have windblume ode though)

Finally I've been wanting to build her

She a 3* cosplaying as a 5*, I like her though. Obviously Mihoyo purposely made her like this cause she isn't a gacha character.

She's fun for me at least and I love everything about her ( probably because I played Horizon zero dawn for a 2 whole month back in 2020 ) I'm building my Morgana team but with my favorite heroes ( Ganyu ( will get her on her re run this 2.4-2.5, Aloy, Kokomi, and Sucrose that will be replaced by Venti if I get him )

@Ghost That's not really accurate, let me put this simply for you. F2P player generate profit for Mihoyo indirectly. For example content creator buy primogem using the money that get from you tube. One of which comes from their viewer. Now tell me which group watch their video the most? It's a simple logic but evade those with narrow view 🙄🙄

Nice video. Looks like Aloy is an OK character overall, but just reminder that she didnt got any constellation yet, might be in the future, might be not. But i'm still gonna spend resources on her though just for exploring and for fun, coz all of my other characters already built for me. Anyway thanks IWTL

Finally a youtuber that gives her a bit of attention lol I really wanted something like this. She isn't great as i expected but she's good enough for overworld stuff with the friendship team. Also it's nice to finally have a use for the Windblume Ode.

Game isnt hard enough for someone to min max that much, so anyone can build her wihtout the feeling that will ruin his account. However, compared to the other Cryo Sub-DPS or DPS, she is a 4*ish average that will be good for newbies but for boomers like us, its a "get her to lv80, pick the 3 summons and thats it"

Can't really call her a 4*. She's a 3* at best. She's got everything and less. She's got klee's bombs that don't even work when exploding at the same time, yoi's bow elemental infusion with nothing special added to it, a burst that hits less than my hu tao's charge attack, passives that don't do anything unique other than deal a tiny bit more damage, and no constellations to even make up for anything. She's exactly what I thought a 3 star character would be, a character with skills that are just downgraded version of already existing characters, passives that does nothing unique, and a restriction that distinguishes it from 4 stars and 5 stars(no constellations).

@@lolomomario76 i feel like she is a Chongyoung with less utility and more dmg... Its like a vanilla 4* But 4* become usable late-game due to utility not dmg, so she is fated to be useless going forward... I bet its because Mihoyo doesnt want people to skip Gamyu rerun due to her.

I was waiting patiently for you to tackle Aloy. So, she really does seem to be just as bad, if not worse than Amber from what you’re saying. As in, at least Amber has constellations.

my amber can do 70k dmg (f2p) with barron bunny, but aloys acension materials are aids, her dmg potential is by far the weakest, theres just no reason to build her, i was debating if physical xinnyan or aloy, think physical xynnyan is the way to go...

Aloy feels incomplete tbh, I think most of her problems will be solved with a constellation that gives her another charge to her skill. I personally ran her with sacrificial bow and it was alot of fun but without it she was so empty

Altho I'm a subscriber somehow I still got caught off guard with the dad jokes 🤣

only just came across this video, i noticed you didn't try Sacrificial bow I've been using it to great effect, my numbers are low as my artifacts are dog balls but the double tap is pretty good imo and works as a battery for bigger energy needing characters
