Yunjin and beidou together is incredibly fun. Their counters complement each other and you can keep quickwapping to counter everything. I want more counter characters so I can have a whole party that can counter every attack.

It makes sense because both Yun Jin's and Shenhe's buffs are additive, they are added as bonus damage compared to, let's say Bennett, who adds a truckload of attack on your character that gets multiplied further by that character's scaling on E and Q. So because Yun Jin and Shenhe add damage, the weaker the character is, the bigger the buff feels, even if the buff is kinda the same on all characters. But Qiqi going from 3k to 9k is more impressive than Eula going from 20k to 25k obviously. In my opinion, miHoYo is trying to buff weaker characters and create new team comps by introducing characters like Yun Jin and Shenhe. B/C tier characters like Kaeya, Qiqi, Chongyun get the most out of these buffs. That being said, this does nothing for me personally. I'm not gonna get and build 5 star or 4 star supports just to play with B tier characters and make them A tier, when I can just get a 5 star S tier character straight up. Obviously, if anyone is a fan of Chongyun, Kaeya etc, then this is perfect for them. But I was looking at Shenhe as a support for Ayaka and replacement for another support in her team. Unfortunately all other supports just buff Ayaka more, because they are not restricted by the quota of hits, like Shenhe is

How about Yunjin-Zhongli-Qiqi-Keqing? Two 5star fastsword fighter who always low tier could rise to the top?

Basically for anyone who likes to see a character's normal attack string, Yun Jin's your gal. I'm glad MHY is enabling different styles of play. She might not be the most meta of buffers, but she improves a style of play that was under supported.

Hopefully with rough total amount of characters that we saw by accident on the screen, there should hopefully be characters to buff stats in the future. I honestly saw her coming into the game, the moment when we realized what exactly the selee is doing over there unable to be moved at all. The selee is bound to the cutscene involving her in the game. We tried everything to get it to move prior, and all of it failed to work. Strangely there was no mention from Paimon about what the selee was doing there, since we were told in advance what exactly the player base would be thinking exactly when they saw the dog barking at the person somewhere in the game. We found the area multiple different times, prior to the net being made available in the game to be used. I guess that they had the net event already planned in advance. Also that last chest counts as 100% chest completion of the area as well.

Yeah I can see how attack speed becomes more valuable with this kind of mechanic. Basically try to dish out all 30 stacks as quickly as possible across all characters.

When you are forced to fight it for upgrade mats you will learn it's attack pattern. Gets pretty easy to dodge after a while.

@@Trime8istusFirst reason is that Diluc's damage doesn't come only from NAs. But second and more important reason is that Diluc's (optimal) teams are very strict, he always goes with xinqiu, bennet and one anemo char, so she would be competing for the spot with either kazuha or sucrose, and I can telle you she's not better than either of them. If you want to meme around or you don't mind losing damage she is alright though.

Warning long post, but yes i think shes a great candidate here: I can speak to this somewhat maybe as one of the rare people who still plays Fischl. My impression is that although you could make a insane Rosaria Bennet comp, where on a crazy build 50k Normals may even happen but more typically 25-30k is constant, achievable for most, what her actual value is that for instance in a Diona/Qiqi as cryo healers and with Albedo or Beidou as the other SubDPS, this gives you great viability without stealing units like Xingqiu that many teams really want while also making Fischl more of the rockstar. Yes this is 3 elements but having a good Multi-target/AoE with Fischl is almost too important to pass up unless you are a owner of R5 Skyward Harp, or maybe the BP weapon. The reasons i personally believe many don't play her even if they aren't worried about power level is typically Fischl seems greedy for the best supports to play as a Main DPS, meanwhile is very easy to just use as a support. Yun Jin fills a slot nicely and very few characters demand her so that has its own worth here. As a side note Yun Jin effects Fischl's C1 DRAMATICALLY, like shown with Qiqis first normal attack, but in this case i see 3x the damage as typical. Problem is Oz is a lot of battery even if not summoning him is genuinely more damage in this instance, probably the most damage Fischl is possible of putting out, so its a little hard to figure what a good rotation for that to would look like.

Same, but I was thinking about Razor. With XQ, Diona, and Yunjin, he can be a real monster. Razor gets a lot of his benefit from attack speed and high modifiers. The attack buff should be pretty amazing on him.

You should try Yunjin and Ningguang. Yunjin can buff Ningguang 2 small rocks from 4k each to 10k each. Easy 12k increase per NA.

I did watch another guide video and I know this isn’t one but the guide video I watch went into a lot of detail even into all the teams she could work in and how yoimiya worked great with her, but no hate to him tho.

She is great with Yoimiya. From this video and my own Yun Jin, it seems like she can add about 5-6k DMG per arrow. Which might not sound like a lot but since Yoimiya can fire 21 arrows in her E that adds up to 105-126k DMG in one skill window.

While at c0 she doesn’t give much to Noelle her c2 and C6 buffs her the most due to how slow and strong her attacks is. That being said I think Noelle have better supports even from other elements like Fischl for energy and Crystallise shield. Yunjin counter mechanics while nice to use are dps loss for Noelle since you need to interrupt your combos for less damage and some energy assuming you can even time it perfectly and it’s not really needed on her since Noelle can face tank everything herself already. You can still use Yunjin with Noelle + Gorou but I don’t think she will be better than Albedo or Zhongli, but still probably better Than support Ningguang or geo mc.

You can put a favonius on Yunjin though. You would already use Gorou, so he has the favonius bow, so not sure if Fischl would be great, but Beidou might be, because she will probably provide more aoe damage than Yunjin. If you are looking to buff Noelle's damage, I think the other alternative besides Gorou is Zhongli since you don't really want to waste Bennett in Noelle's team.

@@vyxinia What do you mean? Noelle is mostly geo main dps character, as a support, healer/shielder she is worse than Diona. Yunjin is a support but only good at buffing normal attacks, she is only worth using with very few characters in the game including Noelle but I don't think she is the best support for Noelle when there are characters like Albedo and Gorou but if you don't have them Yunjin is not a bad option. Out of all normal attacking characters Yoimiya is the best one, others that comes to mind are Razor and main dps physical Fischl but they are not exactly meta characters and Fischl better used as a electro sub dps. Noelle and Yunjin are completly different characters but I'm going to be honest - if you don't have specific teams ready for them it's better to not use them at all.

I need another support (currently I'm using barbara) but I only have either noelle or yunjin (both c0). My team doesn't really connect to each other, but since I don't have many characters yet I have to make use of the ones I have. I just got xiao but don't have anemo besides traveler and sayu (I don't have Inazuma map yet so I can't ascend sayu cause her mats are from inazuma). If I may ask for advice, which one would be better for xiao barbara and xiangling team? noelle or yunjin?

@@vyxinia It's very hard to justify having Noelle since you already have a healing support in Barbara and a main DPS in Xiao. It's also hard to justify having Yunjin in the team since Xiao doesn't use normal attacks when he pops off. In this case I think having Noelle as a shielder helps more.

I think Yun Jins buff gets really substantial with cons. Mine is still sitting at talent level 1 since I had no green books on Wednesday. But she has C4 and she buffed my Noelle even more so than in IWTL showcase. Hope I can snag the C6 so that she can also hit faster.

You forgot to mention in that yun jin vs sucrose run that yun jin and zhongli had geo resonance while the sucrose side did not.

I'm using Yunjin with Yoimiya, Xingqiu, and Beidou. The damage feels concentrated.

Just wanna say I think I'm the first to do a zhong build with her and holy actual fuck. She turns him into a monster. I'm running full glad (godly substats) with jade spear and phys dmg cup using super conduct and yun Jin and he slaps for like 12-18k per auto under her ult

Here a funny team , zhongli yunjin bennet and chogu...the cryo claymore kid , zhongli will be able to deal 15k per hit with either fire or cryo dmg or physical , so nothing will resist him For the elemental boost just give him more hp instead

i think 4 archaic is good when she's supporting yoimiya. you can cast yoi's ult to get the procs going and get a pyro crystal with yunjin's tap e. she should, most of the time, hop into the crystal and proc it. from there you can continue with like XQ burst or kazuha idk you have 35% pyro dmg on top of her flat dmg bonus from ult.

Xiangling's slave, same as always 😉 It works on him but to be more serious his riptides aren't normal attack so its not as valuable as you'd think, and most the comps where his normals ramp up benefit more from a anemo if you do the trick setup to shred both pyro and hydro pretty significantly. You could totally run it though theres plenty of overhead on his vaporize team so trading BiS supports for a fun one isn't that bad.

I am definitely going to use her. Any character that can dynamically change the gameplay of the game and the way that I can use characters get high priority.

Ive been using her in my Eula, Raiden, Yunjin and Bennett comp, Usually that 3rd space was venti vv with elegy to buff raiden or just fischl for double electro. yunjin have improved this comp a lot (Yunjin constelation 3 not crowned)

A short look through her kit gave me a hunch that she'll be the main buffer for a lot of my unit, your video reinforced that. Now let see if I can get her to c6 via some freak pull for that sweet sweet asp buff. May be my next 10x would all be Yunjin?

It's a shame that I cant really use her in Noelle's team, since I wasnt able to get Gorou in Itto's banner. I will still try to build her though since she has one of my favorite character designs.

You can use her with zhongli , traveler geo , albedo , fischl , ayaka , yanfei , yoimiya , diluc , klee , bennet And if you have c6 bennet you can use with any xinqiu to deal fire dmg with any sword/spear character that isnt hu tao and noelle You only have to build them with crit dmg stats , to reach around 20k dmg boost bonus on top of your actual dmg Fire units for exemple could reach 50k per hits Even more with yanfei/klee cause of that weapon that give 300 elemental mastery , maybe 70k

Do you believe additional testing may be needed? From my understanding Yun Jin buffs become stronger in rainbow team comps. I'd love to see the performance of a team such as: Yoimiya, XQ, Yun Jin, Diona. Thanks for the video IWTL

@@alexfrank5331 Diona would consolidate healer, shielder role while maximizing Yun Jin's A4 passive (Larger NA buff with Diona vs Bennett). But it's likely that Bennett would still yield a higher DMG numbers. I'd just love to see how big/small the difference is since Yoimiya wants a shielder in order to complete her AA string.

@@aaronzeezer it's not worth using a character just to proc a 2.5% improvement on her buff.

I was planning on pairing her with my Noelle since I figured all of Noelle's damage is in her NA. Glad I watched your video first or I may have misspent a lot of resources and been disappointed.

Would it be possible for you to compare the DMG gain from Eula with zhongli Vs yunjin?

I've always liked using Kaeya. Since at the start of the game you didn't have much yet, Kaeya felt so nice. Cool burst, cool E that has a short cd and he actually hits hard. But with Yunyin C6 adding attackspeed it would actually make Kaeya not feel so slow so I would love to use Yunyin with Kaeya when I do finally get her C6.

Listen, I lose every single 50/50 to Qiqi and she was my first 5-star in the entire game. She is C3 now and carries me through this game because she is all I have. Yun Jin WILL support my Qiqi as soon as I can get her.

Also no Yun Jin after 60 pulls, so I guess I gotta wait until I can get her from the event. I will build the strongest zombie child in the universe

Qiqi has been in my party consistantly since I started playing a year ago and is already a little beast. Yun Jin made her next level though.

Got my Yun Jin to c4 while wishing for xiao so I’m really excited to build her as another support for my Raiden/QiQi duo!!

I think both Shenhe and Yun Jin are actually interesting partners for probably the least used character in the game, Aloy. Obviously Aloy's kit is... interesting, but she has a lot of synergy with both characters. It would be _cool_ to see if these supports can raise her viability.

I thought you meant that they will be as used as aloy for a second 😂 honestly, yunjin is way more useful than shenhe and probably will be for the rest of etetnity. Shenhe will have super low usage rate since she's kinda bad, and doesn't have any viability outside of cryo teams. Yunjin will be used because she buffs light attacks, but be overshined by the meta supports

@@eventhoughimaloserandavirg3279 nah, whales will always use shenhe as she is the most broken support in the game at c6 by far. yunjin... doesn't really have many uses at all. she's kind of a waste of a slot. most of the time i can't even tell if her buff is active or not. she should buff by twice as much as she does.

And about her being the best support in the game at c6- lol yeah right, raiden and Bennett are still leagues ahead at C6 for 90% of the roster, kazuha too. You've got to be joking with that

@@RageGS "No one to benefit from Yunjin's normal attack buffs" My Childe is usually with Xiangling and Bennett, in that case, adding Sucrose/Kazuha is more beneficial. My Noelle is with full Geo team, she technically is fine pairing with Yunjin, but just like the video stated, it's not that big of a difference. Don't have Yoimiya, and I never build any physical DPS on that particular account. So normal attack buffer is kinda niche there, which is why I just turn Yunjin into one, her auto multipliers are low, so her own buff is quite good on herself. But because of split scaling, building defense for buffs and attack for main DPS is a bit copium.

@@davistsang4192 She's plenty good for Noelle, a 20% damage boost is pretty good and IWTL showed like the bare minimum Yunjin. It's a team that already has Gorou, so Yunjin gets to enjoy a lot of free defense, and Noelle can easily hit several enemies at once to apply the buff against. If you happen to get c6 Yunjin it's a no-brainer IMO.

A good character but affected by the four slots syndrome. For new players, bennettless players, and in teams with a free 4th slot she can do well with NA-focused DPS’. For example I’d like to get her tested with Childe, but that would mean sacrifice more solid supports/enabler in order to free up a slot for her.

I'm foaming at the mouth waiting to get her because it lets Bennett be on the other team but still have Yoimiya do good damage. It's a 4* that dramatically reduces your need for expensive or high demand supports, she's got a place...but probably not in whale speedruns.

You can use her with a NA dps that shouldnt triger many elemental reaction , or does not realy benefit from them For exemple theres the blizzard artifact set giving 40% crit rate if the target is frozen , with bennet burning things it doesnt work , that mean fire cant be used , water (xinqiu) have to be used ice (ayaka) of course , then shenge + yunjin , ayaka with this set can perma freeze , have ner normal attack highly boosted (probably around 3x dmg) and xinqiu elemental burst trigered by ayaka normal attack will triger shenge elemental burst buff , i think its the most possible offesive team You can switch shenge and xinqiu for zhongli and kokomi for heal/shield , cause freezing boss is hard and other target dont requiere that much dmg You can switch zhongli (cause kokomi heal are amazing) for an other geo character , since yunjin need elemental burst , you will need geo energy orb , enough to recover full energy every 15 sec

The "we got a new skin" team. *Keqing, Ninguang, Yunjin, Any healer.* I think Yunjin will synergize well with these two queens since they can easily add some NA and CA into their rotation. Last slot is probably Bennett, but any other healer can fit. Would you showcase this teamcomp with a C6 Yunjin, because mine isn't going to be C6 before months...

I think it would be interesting to try a phys zhongli team w/ yunjin, rosaria and an electro character. Or perhaps a c6 kazuha team w/ xingqiu, c6 shenhe, and chongyun. Both if these to maximize the value of shenhe and yunjin's buffs.

To me, Yunjin feels like Xingqiu in the sense that their burst both add some flat damage when someone else uses normal attacks. But different from Xingqiu, whose burst directly hit the enemy, Yunjin integrates her damage into the attack.

Great Video. i was expecting Flat Dmg would work like this. can you do comparison if we replace Zhongli with Gorou 4 set Archaic + Yunjin? Zhongli RESS Shred not work on long range, not really good in my Yoimiya's team comp

You are thinking of Yunjin's added damage entirely wrongly. Think of the additional attacks as Yunjin's own damage, not as a percentage of the driver's damage. What Yunjin and Shenhe provide are flat scaling increases. What makes that difficult to optimize is that her own crit stats are not what determines the average damage added. It would be best to compare Yunjin to Beidou or Xingqiu, not Sucrose. She is *not* a damage amplifier! Do your calculations for average damage by summing the quantity of damage procs, just like you would for Beidou, but instead of using Yunjin's crit ratio to complete the calculation, use the driver's. That will give you a much more apples-to-apples comparison. What Yunjin gives you over Beidou or Xingqiu is the freedom to grind only *one* set of good crit ratio artifacts.

Yunjin dont crit , she dont deal dmg , she dont need attack , she dont deal geo dmg She just use a buff , like bennet , the diferences with bennet are the fact that first : she buff normal attack stat , not atack , its a hiden stat , second : her buff is based on def , not base attack , third : her buff move with the character , doesnt heal and doesnt apply elemental reaction So you just need 2 stats , energy recharge and def Her main strengh being the buff value , bennet give around 1k attack , yunjin give around 2k , even more with higher stats but also her buff isnt reduced by the normal attack multiplier , lets say your first attack dmg multiplier is 50% , bennet would give you 1k buff that is reduced by 50% , but yunjin would still deal 100% , its realy strong for multi hit attacks , such as fischl , ayaka , zhongli , even ninguang (cause she hit many target)

Can we expect c6 bigger showcase with underused characters like kokomi, razor, fischl etc? Would be fun 😊

Razor was very cool back in the early days, until Eula came along. Eula was a massive upgrade to physical Razor and Electro Razor was okay as a DPS. Support Fischl was great at the start as well, but she got dunked on by support Beidou after people started accumulating constellations on her. Physical Fischl players exist. Probably does fine with Rust but idk. Kokomi heals and does mediocre damage. Over time everyone decided that characters that only heal waste a slot in the team comp, and would rather just shield or put Bennett or Jean on their teams. She's also a 5* so there's no point discussing the power level of a C6 Kokomi. Basically why they're underused.

What about her with Keqing? Worth it to get her away from charged attacking? Maybe a Keqing, Albedo, Yin Jun, Kazuha? I'd like to hear your thoughts if you have the time.

She has been amazing with my Pale Flame Keqing. Her N1 went from about 5000 to 9000 dmg with every other attack in the string being around 10k-16k dmg. My Yun Jin is only C0 Lv60 +20 DEF% artifact at about 2100DEF. CA spam is really situational and N4CA is more fluid and stamina-efficient imo. Superconduct RES Shred probably helps Yun Jin's buff a lot. I haven't tried Electro or mathed out anything yet but I assume it should still be decent. Maybe there are better characters to slot in but she has been really fun on my Keqing team and gets the job done. I've used Keqing in almost every abyss w/ 36-star clear and did it with Yun Jin as well. I'm surprised she didn't make an appearance in this video tbh

@@corvo314 Phys will be better (I think) because of that -40% shred from superconduct is essentially an extra multiplier. Though you could use anemo to shred electro too actually

Isn't this somewhat a flawed assessment? If all the attacks are being buffed by 20~25%~ on a character like noelle or yoimiya, who tend to use their full attack strings, the buff being applied to a maximum of 30 of those attacks is VERY substantial. Sucrose also has the benefit of thrilling tales and 4 viridescent in the comparison, which not many characters can hope to compete with damage boost wise, since sucrose can also enhance elemental damage via her elemental mastery. So the fact that Yunjin is even in the same ballpark of buffing sounds crazy to me when he was doing the yoimiya test. A 200% damage increase on a weak but fast na'er sounds good, but +100% of 100 is still less than +20% of 200.

Right? At 4:39, we can see that Yoimiya N1 increases 5000 damages And Yoimiya N5 increases 6000 damages, so much better. The damage ratio is irrevelant here

@@miraqen7801 but implying that yunjins buff isnt good for noelle when you didnt use it right is misleading. its like testing an anemo unit without trying to swirl another element...she used her def to buff auto attackers. if your using yunjin with noelle, you're likely running mono geo and have gorou who can buff yunjins buff (maybe). good testing would include this or if its not possible, mention why it wouldnt work.

Nah, aloy is a quick swap burst subdps, unless you somehow use aloy as on field dps, kinda weird tbh.

One thing everybody is sleeping with Yun Jin is that she can free up Bennett if you have a character that can utilize her burst. She's a god send for F2P/low spenders that want to clear the abyss.

Surprisingly big if, though. Most main DPS chars don't really use their normals, and those that do often are claymores, with low attack speeds that fail to benefit from her. Yoimiya and Childe are basically as good as it gets for her and we see here that she's about on par with Sucrose on them (likely a little better with cons). On anyone else she's going to be significantly worse.

@@jgould30 it was good as Sucrose in absolute best case, not as good as Sucrose flat. This was also in a party that didn't use elemental reactions, so it was ignoring Sucrose's main buff (EM boost). In the *vast* majority of situations Yunjin is significantly weaker, as there are very few characters that can utilise her well. She's pretty damn gold at her niche, but her niche is very small, which makes her a hard sell when there are so many more generalist options that work with more powerful characters than Yunjin can while providing similar strength to her in her own best parties.

@@XogoWasTaken I understand where you're coming from but despite IWL showcases being good, this one wasn't optimal, i think he may have done it mono element just to illustrate what she can do, now, add Xingqiu in the mix for vaporize and things really starts scaling quite a bit. I'm building my Yun Jin more of a sub dps that can enhance my team, the boost she gives is significant enough to be noticeble while her E can dish respectable dmg. Shes not Bennett that's for sure but considering mhy is making characters for more of a niche and focused approach from now on, she's really strong.

I need to build her and try her along my Eula. It could be pretty crazy. And if I drop both YunJin and Shenhe with Eula it could be pretty crazy.

Just because it increases Qiqi's attack dmg to do more relative to other characters doesn't matter. 1 original dmg + 100 bonus dmg 100 original dmg + 100 bonus dmg Both are the same in terms of "buff" dmg so its such a worthless metric to compare. All that matters is the attack speed of the character and their multipliers

so from your support showcase, you can roughly calculate yunjin's theoretical max team dmg contributions. noelle: 18522 -> 22375 = 3853 per hit. 3853 * 30 = 115590 qiqi: 4590 -> 9510 = 4920 per hit. 4920 * 30 = 147600 yoi: 9316 -> 15015 = 5699 per hit. 29674 -> 35785 = 6111 per hit. dmg difference might be due to inconsistent buffing or what not. lets say average 5905 per hit. 5905 * 30 = 177150 1 thing to note is that this is only the theoretical max. means that you have to use all the stacks in order to get this dmg out. noelle might be able to use all stacks if you hit 2 or more enemies. qiqi can probably use close to max stacks on just 1 enemy. yoi can probably do 3 full cycles of NA with her infusion so 21 stacks max at c0. this just means that yunjin's performance depends quite a bit on enemy lineup, the character you use and level of investment. i would say that yunjin's c0 performance is pretty good considering she only needs to build triple def%. but this does mean your carry must be super invested or else yunjin also suffers.

I think we need a follow up video with short clips of different characters. I know that the characters I'm listing are better not being physical but stick with me here... They attack quite fast! Fishl (Superconduct enabler), Zhongli, Xiangling, Rosaria (Superconduct enabler), Childe, Ningguang (two shots at once) and possibly any Archer.

One way to go about it is Yun Jin has a fixed value in teams. Usually, when you put teams together, you find good synergies to multiply the value of each character. But Yun Jin's value is additive, so it feels like she's worth a lot more if you have low damage, and less if you have high damage. But in reality, she has the same value in a whale team and in a F2P team.

yeah is felt like instead of 30 extra 2000 damage isnt worth it if you compare to other burst at end game artifact . may be at c6 she might feel really good to use. but ill stay at c0 for now i dont want xiao or shenhe need to keep my pity for kazuha or raiden rerun

Yeah she make my ayaka now deal 3x dmg , the 2k buff is increased by a lot of things , and its not reduced by NA multiplier that are usualy around 80% In a big artifzct team , a yanfei could reach 70k dmg each hits

If she's a good support for normal Attack DPS, would she be a pair for Razor or even Eula?

I think she would be pretty good for could probably make a Eula raiden zhongli yunjin team. Even though eula relies heavily on her burst, it’s not like her normal attacks don’t do any damage either, they can output some serious damage

I'm here with C4 yun Jin and her constellations are brilliant, just need to raise her, since I have Lance on zhongli I'll be putting prototype starglitter on yun Jin

Ahhhh how badly I wish she used that opera singing voiceline more often, I've only heard it once playing her. It's so fun in jp. It's a shame she almost never plays that audio line

Also note that in this video when comparing with other supports … ALL of his others were c6 compared to c0 yunjin. So I’m waiting for a c6 video next .

Do you think you can make a constellations tier list, so we know which 1,2,4 and 6 constellations we can go for? It'd probably too long for a single video but maybe by doing multiples? (Like all Mondstadt, the all Liyue then all Inazuma characters?) Anyway keep up the good work you're awesome!!

xiangling with cresent pike hits like a truck too with ms yuns help. now shes no longer just a press q dps lol.
