flowers! I grab an inexpensive bouquet from the grocery store then forage stems from my outdoor shrubs or trees and it really amps up what would be a small arrangement! Q: I have plain, beige carpeting in my living room. How do you feel about placing a large rug on top of carpet? Is that weird? :/

I was surprised to see a comment of someone suggesting you do walk throughs as opposed to photo inserts - I love the pics - they're one of my favorite parts of your videos - I always pause and drink them in and absorb so much inspiration from the pictures in your videos as well as some of the other designer videos I watch - I like both walk throughs - and pics, but personally prefer the pics because you get to see so many other designs - please don't cut down on them! 🙂

I like moldings it gives a classic look

The best is the entrance, simple and elegant. Lighting at room same temperature or type of light bulbs.

I liked, Lighting it is so important. It can make a room feel warm and inviting or feel like you are in a clinical setting. Walked into a friends house that had only over head lighting and I had to walk out of the room. Could not stand it. I will be getting your print out on that if I can find how to. Also, I’ve never watched your videos until this one but I’ll be subscribing. I’m not a designer but would love to be. I’m always decluttering and take pride in wanting my house pretty and inviting. We usually do custom, but there are honestly some great options on Etsy! Thanks so much for watching!

Overall content is informative. The photographic examples should also include ordinary and modest homes / interiors. For example my home has low ceilings. Beams, medallions and rosettes would look pretentious. Shiplap is outdated, at least in Australia. Tonal palettes can look designer but often lack personality. Spaces look like hotel rooms. Great for a short stay but boring and impersonal for longer durations. In the kitchen, draw pulls that have open ends are a hazard. They look elegant but are impractical. Clothing gets snared on them and toddlers / preschoolers bump into them causing injury.

Where can I purchase some of these beautiful things?? Rugs for example!😊

Honestly both are great! I kind of depends on the other pieces you have in the space. If you have more angular lines in your room, go arched top to soften it up. Or if the room has loads of soft textures like pillows, bedding or drapery, you could do a square top to add some structure!

With regards to fragrance, we have to be mindful if we have pets - like dogs - due to their sense of smell being so much more acute than humans which ranges between 10,000 to 100,000 times more than humans, therefore can have a detrimental effect on them.

It kind of depends on if you're using the bedside lamps as reading lamps, etc. I have very large ones on my bedside chests, but the chests are quite large as well, so the lamps are the right scale. Thanks on the dress!!! It's from a small boutique in North Carolina, the brand is a sustainable British brand called "Newday Originals"

Add a strip of wood behind the art that's the same depth as the surrounding molding, then hammer in the hanging hardware to the added strip of wood and you'll be good to go!!!

What's the rule for rugs under beds?

It depends on the size of your room, but I like to either position the rug perpendicular under the bed where it starts after the bedside chests and it peeks out from the end of the bed. Or if there’s a seating grouping at the end of the bed, I like for it to start halfway down the bed and be completely under the seating grouping. Just whatever feels best in the space!

I have never seen a runner which would look even good (not talking luxury), especially on the kitchen...

I don't agree with the light temperature thing. The same type of lighting needs to be the same but different types of lights can have different temperatures for different tasks. Now if you can afford led lights with variable temps great, but otherwise different temps in different types of fixtures works great.

I truuly believe windows should be framed by beautiful window dressing.
