Just found your channel and I can totally relate on the vachetta front. I have a monogram Pochette Metis in my closet for 3 years that I've worn once. I haven't been able to bring myself to sell it, but I think this is the year. Every January I make a "chopping block list" and this year the PM is at the top. Great video! Subscribed!

I had a problem w/ the old medium boy bag too! Even though its size resembles the medium classic flap, the boy bag is SOOO boxy!! And the strap is HUGE. I was considering getting the small size too, but I figured the leather portion of the strap would still be so big.

I totally agree with you on the coco handle. Mine is the small size and it’s actually looking a little bit too big on me. But the mini one is too small for me, and I don’t like the look when I wear it crossbody! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Agree with Vachetta! I live in Montreal. Canada. We get lots of rain in fall and spring and winters are damn cold . So the Vachetta on my Noe got ruined in the rain, and canvas in general gets too stif in winter.

This was super informational , I am not 1 for high sitting crossbody bags either ,I’ve made a ton of mistakes in buying and selling luxury bags to get what I have to where I love them all now , but a lot of trial and error here to girl ! Thanks for sharing this info ! Super helpful ! New subbie ! 🥰🥰

It is not crazy to have both Metis😬 i love both so much! The Reverse in fall amd winter and the monogram in summer and spring! I was so afraid of vachata as well but am not anymore cause at the end- bags should be used and it will take a long long time until Vachetta is getting dark! And when it is getting too dark you can have it repaired/changed! So don’t mind! The Metis is sooooo good! So you need both💓💓💓💓

i solved the "short strap" problem by purchasing straps or chains from etsy, amazon, ebay... and some other more high end boutiques :) it gives the bag an extra edge and i can wear it anyway i would like to style it :)

Thank you for this video!!!! I have this feeling with a YSL chain on wallet bag I bought last year. I don’t have a YSL store near me and when I was on holiday I bought it but instantly thought it was a rushed purchase and I was right it’s too small and I never use it I think I should have got the mini Lou camera bag. I’m going to lose money if I sell it 😭

I just subscribed! I have the coco mini in blue and had it in red, and you're right, I wish I can wear it crossbody. But I bought a longer gold chain, but I like the look of it with the original strap - I wish Chanel would sell a longer strap or made it adjustable. love to hear about what didn't work out more than unboxings. Love your Channel 🥰🥰. Regarding Chanel, I’m in the same boat as you in regards to mostly sticking with classics flaps and classic style WOCS and minis. Would you ever add the Gabrielle Small Hobo or the Chanel 19 Bag? The Gabrielle Hobo looks a bit trendy, and the 19 bag I don’t know if that chunky chain would bother me since the boy bag chain already does that to me lol.

Cyn CarBoc the 19 bag is so cute but I am worried it might be too similar to my classic flaps because I would probably get black 😂. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Gabrielle when it first launched but it has been growing on me. I saw it recently in all black with chevron quilting and it was 😍. I do like the business affinity and was considering that for a while. Who knows, never say never! Xoxo

Is fashionphile the best site you recommend to sell with? I have a classic flap in lambskin I wanted to sell (realized lambskin is not for my lifestyle). Would you recommend fashionphile?

Thanks for watching Brooke! I love selling to fashionphile because the process is pretty easy and I don't have to worry about handling the actual selling and shipping of the bag to an individual. I kind of like that piece of mind of not having to worry about any possible issues you may have with a buyer. I also have sold to The Real Real and I know others like Yoogi's Closet. I will say, however, that most of the time, you will not get as much for your bag (when selling to fashionphile or other online consignment stores) in comparison to if you were to sell your bag directly to someone. I am willing to take the loss because of the peace of mind fashionphile gives. So it kind of just depends on your preference. xoxo

I think it was such a good option to those people (like me haha) who are a little nervous about vachetta. I have been wanting a Chanel mini in red but I am definitely a red girl. Not sure if red is on your radar. I also love Chanel’s recent gray/blue color. I think I saw Chase Amie unbox one on her channel and it was beautiful. I can’t pronounce anything haha 🙈. It’s not crazy to have the Pochette Metis in both monogram and reverse. I have both! I LOVE them both. I often think about getting a third in emprent leather. I LOVE to use an Hermès twirly in the summer. Gives a pop of color. I use colonill on my vachetta. I just don’t worry about it. It does what it’s supposed to do. I LOVE a dark vachetta! I didn’t at first, but oh it looks so “old school” to me. I love the look of Jerusha’s speedy b 25 in monogram that has a very aged vachetta.

I got a mono PM in 2017 and sprayed the leather the very first day w Apple Guarde and I highly recc it. My PM has a very light patina and I have been caught in the rain etc and there are NO spots. I think it’s totally fine to do, I think of it the same way as I do scotch guarding a fancy pair of Stewart Weitzman boots to protect them. Nobody thinks twice about that. Try it out!

Hi Anne ! I also am an adjustable strap must have person for sure ! I love the versatility of shoulder to Crossbody as I absolutely love crossbody bags. We are much alike in our bag preferences; the LV bags I do have with vachetta leather I purchased preloved for the very reason of me not having to go through the "honeying" phase of the bag lol , I'd rather it be done already and have it be at the perfect honey color, and those bag are the LV Eva Clutch and LV Neverfull GM; I'm so frightened by the patina process don't know why , I'm afraid of ruining them I guess ... The other LV I own is the Pochette Metis in black empriente leather for the very same reason so yean, I'm with you and totally get it hahaaa ! Thank you for yet another fantastic video :)

I disagree on your thinking process. I make my bags all work for me. Either I try it on at the boutique or make it work for me, I’ll rock any bag. I think you ate too self conscious!
