Man that yellow card is a sticky situation .. It’s a red card everyday of the week, and he probably should’ve just waited for the ref to tell old mate to either back up or give him a yellow for interference but that Luton player sort of gets what he gets. He kicked the ball right as he swung for it, granted of course the player kicking it was most likely aiming for him too ..

The formation we started with has looked limp for the last three games. The formation we ended with looked like it could have kept on scoring and scoring. Obafemi, Piroe AND Ntcham all start next game surely. I like Pato but he has to be sacrificed for the greater good.

Saw the kick on Facebook and came to see what happened. On what planet is that ref living if that’s a yellow card?! Swansea player kicking the ball regardless, he made no attempt for the ball! Red all day

Great comeback. The ref bottled the red following disgraceful intimidation from Luton players. That should *not* happen on a football pitch and sends the wrong message to young kids playing the game.

4:22 I can't see how that was even a yellow card, as Lansbury didn't do anything wrong! Lansbury was looking at nothing but the ball as he prepared to kick it and clearly had no idea the Swansea player was going to kick the ball away a split second before he got to the ball!

Terrible commentary again from Stokes and Curtis. Swansea should endeavour for "best practice' and this is not it. OK I will fill in the gaps for you to cover for 'easy street' Stokes and Curtis. Luton Town goal scorers for 2 and 3 was Adebayo. It was Ryan Manning that was assaulted. He was assaulted by Landsbury no 23 and then abused on the floor by Lockyear no 15. Naughton was penalised for the soft penalty. Abebyo also missed the clear chance for 4-0. Manning assisted Obafemi for his chance. In the second half Connick hit the post when it was easier to score. The Luton goalkeeper who made a mess of things was Sluga who has played 3 time s fro Croatia. 'The no 17 ' refered to lazily by Stokes and Curt was Mpanzu who Swansea showed interest in signing at one time. Swans TV needs to up its game.

As a referee in the Czech Republic, I also give a yellow to both of them... Luton player wanted a quick play and when he was in upswing, Swan player kick him ball away and he hit his leg instead of ball.. It's beautifully seen at 4:24.. First yellow for Swan player for unsporting behavior (And for that behavior he also get another punishment cause of kick) and then yellow for Luton's for foul.. If you've ever played football, you surely know, when you're in upswing, it's impossible to stop.. I think referee did pretty good job in this curious situation.

Yes but it is clear to see that the Luton player was never aiming for the ball, and if he was with such power he used to kick Ryan Manning, the ball would have gone out for a Swansea goal kick. He had no intention of kicking the ball

Power of kick doesn't matter here.. He wanted to play and Ryan has no pretension to obstruct a play. When he kick a ball away just in front of him, even when he is in upswing, he really can't do nothing.. I love Swans and I'm a fan since 6yo, but also I play football 19 years now and I have understanding for that, cause Ryan really fucked it and he fully deserved it.. And I absolutely hate unfair behaviour, simulations, deceits and so on.. This really have no place in football, so I'm 100% on a referree's side.. That's a football rules..

Most biased bit of commentating over the yellow card incident you'll ever hear. How on earth is it the Luton player's fault. 100% yellow card to Swansea for kicking the ball away and being a smart ass. If the ball is in play, it's a 100% red card to Luton. The fact the ball is dead, the Luton player had every right to take the free kick quickly. Nothing would have happened if the Swansea player didn't illegally kick the ball away. Terrible commentary.

If you honestly think he had no intention of taking the free kick quickly, you are either extremely biased or extremely stupid. What would've happened if the swans player didn't kick the ball away?? Referree clearly influenced by 5 Luton players surrounding him. Probably feared for his life after seeing what Lansbury did to Manning. Don't blame him at all. Savage attack by Lansbury.

@@al1979rocker If you feel Lansbury behaved in a sporting manner, without any malicious intent, then that's your prerogative. Lansbury would have walked into Revie's Leeds United team based on that single, appalling, attack on a fellow professional. Hopefully, Luton will get relegated and, in time, possibly regret this incident. Almost half the Luton team harangued the referree,clearly fearing a red card. The ref bottled it nicely. It was a gutless assault by Lansbury as Manning had his back to him.
