Disagree a little with you about Coufal...when he came to West Ham he was described as an attacking full back and he has had quite a few assists. There is the option of playing Ben Johnson there if he signs a new deal. Priority signings are 2 central defenders and a striker. Thank you! 😃

I love Coufal but his assists are typically crosses and I don’t feel he’d be great for the one touch passes, I think Ben Johnson might be favoured which might explain his change of heart towards signing a new deal

Thanks Jim. If anyone's interested in a fan view of the West Ham players here you go: Zouma will likely leave can hardly walk (bad knees) and won't suit JL. Mavropanos is excellent at carrying out from defence and being a Greek colossus so he'll start. Aguerd I agree is perfect (actually wanted by JL as a Kounde/Carlos replacement but came to us) however it appears he's disenfranchised after life under Moyes and wants out so a new LCB will come in (Kilman, Greaves, Calafiori, Nehuen Perez, Oosterwolde etc.) Coufal again agreed Johnson likely to start or a new RB. Not convinced on JWP in the system (Aleix Garcia just joined Bayer was of interest) Alvarez however, captain material love him. Matias Soule linked would be amazing as the winger/10 great potential Paqueta replacement or Jota Silva as you mentioned. We've been linked with En-Nesyri (forever) and recently made a bid for Samu Omorodion who I'd love. Also JL tried to sign Antonio at Wolves so he'll still have a space. Exciting times moving on from DM with Lopetegui and director Tim Steidten building a team for him (one of the clubs actually ok for FFP lol)

I think we are most likely to bring in En-Nesyri for our striker role from what I read. He worked well with Lopetegui at Sevilla.

No mention of Soucek at all proves how underrated he is. Yes he’s unfashionable and doesn’t fit the system like a glove, but he’s absolutely effective at what he does I do not personally see the point in playing a system that doesn’t fit the players, we absolutely need reinforcements, but we can’t change 11 players. Some will fit the new style better than others, but if some of our stalwart players like Soucek, Alvarez or JWP do not fit this system, then you have to adapt to them. Managers come and go too quickly to be completely changing the team cos JWP is a bit naff on the half turn or something, play to their strengths

The away form under Lopetegui was awful at times along with when we conceded a goal all our players heads dropped and didn’t look like they wanted to get back into the game. He also basically tried to freeze out Ait-Nouri from the squad and to replace him with Cresswell

@@Giroud9 so the issue was with Moyes is the second half of every season there would be a major drop off. Pretty much every season after January we won 3-5 games which obviously isn't good. I personally wasn't Moyes out but wasn't Moyes in either. I felt like either decision would be fine, due to the west ham fans wanting a change of style

Maybe Broja could be a good shout for them, his value might be the lowest it will be due to the lack of gametime in the past couple of seasons and they might be able to do a flexible deal. En Nesyri also would suit them.

Dinos should be in and Agurr wants out mate

Pretty sure dawson moved to wolves in January 2023 so he couldnt have played against everton

So he failed at porto didnt succeed at Real madrid won the europa league with sevilla honestly cant give him credit for that as every manager wins europa with sevilla and then gets sacked. Things didnt work out at wolves and is now the manager of west ham who are in shambles. Yeah i agree he is onto something😂

I meant the form they were in at the end of the season they finished 9th thanks to the results at the start of the season but by the end they were struggling, paqueta is potentially not gonna play due to betting offenses and the overall atmosphere around the club was not great. But maybe he will change things as his style of play is good to watch so the fans can be hopeful.

Its a bit harsh to diminish his success at Sevilla. He finished 4th in every season with them, and in his last full season only lost 4 league games. Overall probably deserved to be sacked but Sevilla havent got to the top half of the table since he left. And he only quit Wolves because the club had no money to build a squad, but he had a fair record with them. His record certainly isnt worse than David Moyes when he joined West Ham

@@Zephyrr03 The atmosphere was poor because the club wasn't being clear about Moyes staying or going. Moyes had run out of ideas towards the end which is what caused our bad run of form. Generally we are a club on the up, we have 4/5 top quality players, besides Paqueta we still have Kudus, Bowen and have made a couple of new signings who look very exciting for the future. We also have no concerns about FFP. Downsides are that the remainder of our squad are aging but we have the 17th highest revenues in europe though so pretty sure as long as our sporting director and new manager are on the same page, we hopefully can do well.

@@kieranbennett7453 to be fair to him he did well in Sevilla but in the end he couldn't build anything with them he couldn't find answers to the tactial problems presented by his opponents after a great start he fizzled out and got sacked no doubt he performed well but West ham I think need a manager to build a squad that will compete for Europe consistently and I am not sure if lopetegui can do that.

Mavropanos is better than zouma why are you using zouma as the man
