You must be so proud of your dad! Even though he sadly died so young, he’s still bringing so much joy to people all over the world decades later. We are all so blessed to have his music.

Around 1969 Mr. Johnson made a couple of visits to the Colonial Tavern in Toronto. On one visit he performed with Big Mama Thornton and the Atlanta Blues Band. He always gave 100%. Those are good memories!

So happy I came across this. Always hoped someone would post a video of this amazing man. And now, to hear from his beautiful daughter DeDe. I saw him a twice at the Colonial Tavern on Yonge Street, Toronto in 1969 and 1970. Once he played with John Lee Hooker and the other time, Big Mama Thornton, I believe. Great times! RIP Luther!
