Luscious Jackson being escorted by Max Perlich, who was a cast member of "Homicide:Life on the Street" at the time, through what looks like an airport, but was actually the inside of one of the World Trade Center towers. THAT'S how 90s this is.

I'm 72 and blown away! I thought this was a new group playing on 91.3 the Summit, here in Ohio. Discovered a lot of new sounds and groups on the channel. I may be 72, but I'm NOT old! I know what it means to be young, but, the young don't know what it means to be old (yet!). Anyway, I found the lyrics and I'm singing away! love Love LOVE Luscious Jackson Naked Eye! BOOM! Hi, welcome to the L.J. Party Plane! If I heard the Lyric properly, then according to the song, 'Naked is a State of Mind.' I think the same can be said, in regards to age! My Mother is 73 and we watch/ listen to a lot of the same things. I was in my late teens, when this song was released. I got into Luscious Jackson, after seeing the video for the song 'Here'. The song was featured and a part of, the soundtrack for the movie 'Clueless' starring Alicia Silverstone & Paul Rudd, in his first movie (he was also in Halloween 6 But that came out 2 or 3 months later.) Have you ever seen, 'Fast times at Ridgemont High. ? That one has the same director as Clueless, Amy Heckerling and there are many similarities between the films. Check them out if you get the chance! They're both a lot of fun, with great young actors, music and memorable scenes! Cheers from Montreal Quebec Canada.

RIP Vivian Trimble! She’ll live forever through Luscious Jackson. This song is a masterpiece, probably one of the most haunting melodies of the 90s - a decade that was full of them. There are a small handful of songs where the melody makes me so emotional I get a lump in my throat, and this is one of them.

I was too little to know who sang it or the name of the song, so I spent years trying to find this song with no luck until literally 10 minutes ago. I am so beyond happy I've found it! @@kathrynmcelroy5658 the word ‘selective’ in the phrase ‘selective memory’ refers to our innate tendency towards biases that distort our perception and judgment. The worst moments in life are also ‘selective’, such as traumas that bring up hypersensitive triggers. So the other day I heard in the the Venetian in Las Vegas while I was sipping my coffee about to go into work, I immediately took out my Shazam app and it detected it. Now watching the video I’m like omg this used to be such a banger back then! I remember hearing it on the radio so many times and my brother and me singing it. Great memories I’ll always cherish! 😊❤

I was born in '60, so I got to do kid 60s with Motown and first British wave. The 70s were Meh with disco but great for R&B/Funk, the 80s were so awesome with classic rock/new wave, and the 90s were killer with grunge and alt rock! Everything started to slide downhill after that. Not sure if it's because I hit 40 or if synthetic music took over and the raw talent just wasn't there anymore. IMO today's 'sound' rarely moves me. It's re-imagined covers, looped, unoriginal, and sometimes unintelligible. Sure miss the good ol' days!

@@erichatfield2939 It's like when I was telling my dad 10 years ago that the 90's were amazing, and he responded "No, they weren't", and I immediately just turned to look at him directly and said, "Well, of course, you would say that, because you were in and out of jail the whole time -- for ME, it was my childhood, and I'll never have another one. The 90's SHAPED me." He was salty that I was that blunt about it, but he didn't argue back either. But the POINT is -- NO SHIT if you made shitty decisions in the 90's, or ran with the wrong crowd, or had a shitty marriage; if your personal situation was in any way awful , then yeah, OF COURSE you're going to want to blame the whole decade for being shit. But I am telling you right now, that if you actually had a healthy lifestyle, then you would have actually been able to enjoy the beauty of the pop culture during that time, and appreciated how _special_ it was -- because once the 2000's hit, and Bush became president, and 9/11 happened, EVERYTHING went to shit. So if you were actually around during the 90's and were unable to appreciate what an awesome time period you really were in (for whatever reason), I am honestly very sorry for you.

I'm from an era where I heard this song on the radio but it really gained my attention on my 411vm best of vol.3 (thats a skateboard video for yous that don't know) . You could go to school and not have to deal with bullshit , it was safe to be out after dark and police didn't fuck with you. We partied in the woods , houses that weren't finished being built , old abandoned buildings anywhere their was open space. Peoples different points of views didn't offend us...hell if anything it only helped us to understand 1 another. We could be friends and still vote for whoever we wanted and smoke a joint together no matter who we chose. Music was great and had meaning behind every song, you actually had to work to make it in the music industry back then . The 80s and 90s were the last true generations of great singers and song writers. We need to look back and take notes .

Those three songs do not have the beat of _Naked Eye_ -- but they have amazing harmonic beats, and the lyrics are so goddamn proverbial and profound. They're so criminally underrated, tbh.
