Lure Making Stand and Motor

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a follow-up to my Poké Ball Fishing Lure video where I show off the stand I used to paint the lure and the motor I used to turn the lure while applying the clear coat.

Helping hands from Harbor Freight work great to hold your lures when you paint. They are like $5 it’s a metal base with 2 alligator clips with hinged arms and usually have a magnifying glass on them. They also have them on Amazon for about $7

Love the take down design. The rod/lure turner is friggin awesome! One thought on the turntable is put foam on the cap then put your hooks into it...just a thought.

2 new Makify videos in one day! what is it, Christmas? :P I love the use of the microwave turn table motor. There are lots of applications where a slow motor like that would be handy, and it seems to run very quietly too. Thanks for another great videos.

It was more like 1 1/2 videos. This one is more of a show-and-tell and I don't really consider that a full project video. I'm glad you like them though!

Here are a few ideas you may find useful, for turning more Lures at the same time. You could shorten the length of holding wire to accommodate more Lures on a single turn. You might want to use a clamp to hold each fixture down and spread the two fixtures apart to allow for more Lures to be chained together. you could just simply add a support tail piece to the end of your table, provided you don't mind screwing into that table, to secure the holding end of the fixture while the motor end can move freely to accommodate more or less Lures, that way only one side needs to move. You could add a bit of weight to the Motor Fixture so no clamping is necessary by recycling the Transformer from the Microwave and use it as dead weight. This is a great project, thanks for sharing it...

You could as well use some gears ( With teeths or belts), and put like 3 or 4 in a stick, and you could have many lures rotating even at multiples directions

Painting rack could've been done just using helping hands that can be picked up in eBay cheap.

@@aqeejigstv5947 It depends on the motor you use. Some can handle 110 or 220. There should be markings on the motor that say what voltage it expects.
