‘Practice, practice, practice’ - well I stupidly started bass fishing on the South Coast of the UK in mid-January and I’ve had 33 trips since then - so I’ve had plenty of practice! i caught one bass at the end of January but otherwise nothing. Then on Sunday ((start of May) I saw bait fish jumping so I chucked a top water lure over the top - and hey presto - a bass. Not big, but worth every single one of those 32 fishless trips! Your energy and craziness has kept me motivated throughout, and please keep up the great videos. MaS

I am an experienced lure angler of 20 years, but new to Bass. I would suggest a suspending crank bait searching the depth. Would start with a iborn down to 3 feet and keep pausing it then go to a soft plastic, clear water it would be Khaki or brown, white for anything else. Great video.

Wayne, any thoughts on adding some scents to soft plastics? Especially this time of year.

I haven't added any after market scents to Lures if I'm honest. There are soft lures that already have scent added to them. Have a look at the fishus soft shads from luresedge.com. they are scented and I believe there are others as well. I think kietech is scented. Hope this helps

@@Anglingaddict75 Have scented soft plastics, and considering getting out after you're latest videos, thought of adding little something extra to entice those slower predators. Little research is drawing me towards something like Berkley Glup Gel.

I know that mark , but not fished it , is it very soft underfoot ? I know the small gulleys at low water look very soft ? Cheers

It is VERY soft in most places! It's a think before you step kind of place.
