Lupe Fiasco Is Right. Bernie Sanders Needs A Nike Deal.

Ойын-сауық

Admittedly, this headline only references maybe 72 seconds of this nuanced 90-minute conversation dancing in all the world’s ills.
Whether Lupe Fiasco and I are delving into James Baldwin’s relationship with the Nation Of Islam, or forcing companies to make Election Day a corporate holiday, or people’s tendency to lie on surveys, or the challenges of actually succeeding from the union, or BlueFlu, or the movie Black Panther-which are all covered herein-the connective tissue is that aspiration without cross boundary collaboration is futile. It’s better for Wakanda to team up with The Avengers than have to worry about the Hulk over there shoulder, for example.
And in that regard, just like Lupe Fiasco delivers on “Valleys,” Bernie Sanders really does need a Nike deal. He-or whoever is next to carry the Progressive flag-will have to collaborate with corporate America (in some fashion) in order to avoid getting backdoor’d every Super Tuesday. “It worked for Colin Kaepernick” Lu says in this conversation (recorded on Instagram Live). He’s got a point.
So this video title is a reminder that you may be surprised who’s riding shotgun in your Lyft on the way to salvation. Friend or foe, you have to be willing to work with others.
Oh, and Lupe says he’s in album mode. It's all happening.

Lupe = #1 on my list- You want punchlines - "the emporer's soundtrack " You want double or triple entredes ? "Mural" and he'll explain them in the bars You want heartbreaking story telling - "intruder alert" , "he say she say" and "alan forever " You want metaphors - his whole discography is filled with it. Number one in that category and most wont argue You want someone who critiques the genres he's in ? "Daydreaming" You want a song that encompasseses all these things? "Wav files" one of the most brilliant peices of art that has ever existed. Lupe , kanye , nas , kendrick and pac greatest 5

Lupe is GOATED, best rapper of all time, for sure but I find it hard to believe some of the things hes saying very difficult to blindly believe without evidence. I mean it MIGHT be true but I can't be confident in some of that.

Doriiaan My take on that analogy was more that we should do things like try make sure that kids have good educations and avenues to lead them to becoming good people, rather than trying to reform bad adults to turn them good.

Lupe's take on the whole "there's levels to this shit" with international poverty and oppression compared to what happens in America is really really bad. Like, what is your point? I am a citizen in the United States. My voting power and my power to protest and try to enact change is limited to my borders. I wanna see all poverty go away and will do what I can to help people internationally but I can't do shit about things in the Philippines or wherever. I can affect MY community. So what's the point in bringing up the "levels of poverty"? Whenever someone pull that shit its always to put down whoever doesn't have it "As bad" as somebody else. "Stop complaining so much, somebody else has it worse" is what I hear I think he put out a bunch of bad takes in this. Like saying you need to add "value" to a place to be able to live somewhere
