“The goal was to make a short film with very little knowledge of what or who I was going to be capturing. I met Liz on site about 30 minutes after the challenge was announced, and having never been to Washington, I relied on Liz’s expertise of the area. Working with her was extremely fun and we lucked out that a good majority of the hike was in the trees, which saved us from the challenges of shooting at high noon without additional production to help. Given the amount of time we had to make this happen, I am pretty happy with how it came out. The S5IIX made for a great tool on this run-and-gun shoot, allowing me to not have to focus on well…focusing.
