Short notice fight at 40, after 5 years retired (inactive). Still he is grated American kickboxer of all time , most of the time American couldn't compete at top competition . K-1 for golden age (better level than glory) . Joe shilling is right to say that .

I got really excited when I found out the organisation was preparing to put slot of money and was going after huge profile combatants throughout all the world's other organisations. Knowing that a large number of fighters in MMA, kickboxing etc were actually originally karate backgrounds that adapted styles etc to be able to compete in sports that bring in the most earnings for them to remain a professional fighter

Amazing to see the growth. BUT I need the camera angles to stop going so far randomly to show the arena. I get it people are in the crowd and you have fancy screens, but it makes it hard to see the fight when they do those far angles.

Should stop grappling exchange, one punch or one kick allowed. Then the rest should be kickboxing rules . It was invented by modernizing karate after all. Boring to see skrivers defeat Gabriel varga by takedown spam to avoid striking exchange. (He is great fighter but I was disappointed to see this strategy in karate combat)

Luke was actually fighting more karate style than he ever has in this fight. Lots of straights off the roundhouse

Just goes to show you a straight up stand up fighter, even with a bit of takedown defense, like Joe, is at a gross disadvantage as soon as you introduce take downs and ground and pound.

Dumb butt the creator of muay Thai brought the sport to the usa they thought it was to violent so changed rules made it in to kick boxing. Then an actor named Jean-Claude Van Damme came around created ah movie related to kick boxing. America thought it was to violent. So all mma in the time was named karate cause its a smooth sounding word
