Were did he get the red lightsaber, the Sith don't share not even being Vadder s son would have Vadder letting Luke borrow his saber, it would show weakness. Vadder would be training Luke to be a Sith not an inquisitor so a vibroblade or an electro staff or something like he would be issued, but I think Palpatine would use this to test Vadder's loaylity by telling Vadder "LUKE GOES UNARMED, LORD VADDER DOES THAT MEET WITH YOUR APPROVAL" Said Darth Sidious

Luke was never part of rebellion so the death star mission hasn’t occurred in this timeline. but the rebellion is definitely around and they are planning something! hope that answers any questions👍🏼
