    Everyone talks about his high IQ (and rightfully so) but this dude played relentless, ruthless and with so much heart. Lucky I got to witness the likes of him and Willis. Enjoy retirement Luke!

    It's such a shame he retired early but he did it for the right reason. You could tell this was a player who still wants to play but understands his love of the game may cost him big going forward. No doubt HOFer. Just recently for it's 100 year anniversary the NFL brought together coached, players, analyst, etc to create it's list of the top 100 players ever. In creating it's top 100 for each position they created a list of 20 players in each position and choose their top 10. Even though he didn't make the top 10 Luke, at 28, was selected in their top 20 linebackers of all time. I think we are going to see a shift in how HOFers are selected moving forward towards more Gale Sayers-esque selections. By that I mean players who may not have 15-20 year careers but we're so individually dominant during the time they played.

    I don't get why boxers & football players play over 8 years... Its too much on your body, sorry but to go from 0 income to 1-5 million. Why not realize its great to play sports is a fast man sport. This is why the nba players don't earn their pay. Its no more sweat blood & tears like all the other sports. Even baseball is more difficult
