Luke Holland ft. Sam Applebaum - Veil of Maya - Mikasa Dual Drum Cover
Luke Holland, 22 years old! I'm from Peoria, Arizona. My friend Sam Applebaum plays drums for Veil of Maya, & we've toured multiple times together. We've always wanted to do something like this, & our schedules finally aligned & made it possible. Instead of doing just a dual drum cover, we filmed this in front of a live audience. Thanks to everyone who came out to that! This was filmed at The Nile Theatre in Mesa, Arizona, a massive thank you to Sanford for making that possible.
All cinematography was done by Master Jeremy Tremp.
All audio was recorded & mixed by Master Cameron Mizell of Chango Studios.
I proudly endorse DW DRUMS, MEINL CYMBALS, VATER PERCUSSION & REMO DRUMHEADS.

It's a shame a lot of people don't appreciate this type of musicianship. It takes an unbelievable amount of skill to play drums for songs like these.
someone get these dudes an air conditioner
Never thought someone who looks like head of the IT department would become one of my favourite drummers
years later this is still the best cover luke has done in my personal opinion
Luke Holland is of course phenomenal but you have to realize that he is also mostly playing Sam's parts here, really, and Sam deserves a ton of praise for creating a compelling percussion track for this song, and really for the whole Matriarch album. I personally believe it is some of his best work.
Sam's left handed blast beats break my brain.
this should be called 'Prince Harry and Harry Styles VoM dual drumming' lmfao
them drums sounding crispier than a mcchicken
you know they're really good drummers when they can play live and keep in time together like that
This was over 5 years ago now?!?!
Am I the only one who was fucking astonished by Sam's finger technique during those blast beats?
Because one Luke is right handed and Sam is a lefty, it really does look like a reflection in a mirror in those side shots. Just woah. Two drummers being that on time with each other takes a certain level of perfection. Damn.
the disappointment in your face when the stick didn't fly that high into the air was priceless, hahaha
And the wait for another brilliant Luke Holland cover resumes.
Two of my favorite drummers of our age!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are amazing performers/musicians! Thank you so much!!!!
The fact that your drums sets are set up mirrored from on another makes the coordination look absolutely mesmerizing!
Sam's double kick is so good. One of the best sounding out there, idk what it is but it just sounds perfect. Probably watched this 50 times and keep picking up nuances. Absolutely love it
The world of drumming becomes a tad more exciting for every video you upload dude. Keep this up! \o/
I love how deep their snares are. Amazing mix! Amazing cover from two very talented drummers! And definitely loving Veil Of Maya's new vocalist and their new sound
