In less than a decade, Luke Combs has topped Billboard's country airplay chart 17 times, and was named Entertainer of the Year twice by the Country Music Association. He talks with "Sunday Morning" contributor Kelefa Sanneh about his latest album, "Fathers & Sons," which was inspired by his two young sons, and was also an opportunity to pay tribute to his father, Chester Combs.

I love Luke Combs; his new album is beautiful.
There was once a thing called music. If you had a sound and it was good, you got a record deal and a tour. Now, you have to look a certain way or be willing to change your whole appearance and they will autotune your voice. I'm happy to see a regular guy that sounds amazing naturally, with talent and a heart. ❤

Great to see this. But Luke did have one costume change - check out Ovo Hydro Glasgow 16 Oct 2023 when LC rocked the kilt to the delight of Scottish fans. The new album is awesome.

I must admit, he does have a down-to-earth and positive attitude. However, I don't understand why he got the public recognition of "Fast Car" when he wasn't the only other famous music artist to cover that song.

@@susannpatton2893 It was noted on his website that he didn't need to have permission from Tracy to put the song on his "Gettin' Old" album due to music licensing.
Kind of like Jellyroll minus the tats and more Jenny Craig (alot of these country guys pretty interchangeable), but good luck, Luke!
