In Luke chapter 22, as the Passover approaches, the chief priests plot against Jesus, leading Judas to betray him for money. Jesus shares a final meal with his disciples, instituting the Lord's Supper and predicting Peter's denial. He then prays at the Mount of Olives, where he is betrayed by Judas and arrested. During his arrest, a disciple cuts off a servant's ear, but Jesus heals him and rebukes the violence. Jesus is brought before the council of elders, where he affirms his identity as the Son of God. Despite mockery and abuse, Jesus stands firm in his beliefs, leading to the council's decision to condemn him. This chapter highlights the events leading to Jesus' betrayal, arrest, and trial before the religious authorities.

The Last Supper is also when Jesus institutes the sacrament of the Eucharist. It's not meant to be just a symbol. In Catholism and Orthodox Churchs, the bread and wine actually become the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ after the Priest says the prayer of consecration. It is true communion with Jesus!❤🕆📿
