Luka Dončić FURIOUS After Not Being Involved In The Last Play Of The NOLA Game!

Despite Luka Dončić being scorching hot the entire game (7/10 3PT and 10/16 FG in only 33 minutes of play), coach Rick Carlisle appears to draw the final play of the game for Dennis Smith Junior, who just rejoined the team after missing 10 games due to an injury. Luka seems to come out of the timeout in disbelief and is repeatedly saying to himself what appears to be "fu*k" as he hunches over, resting his hands on his knees in a rather defeated pose.
Cannot but wonder:
1.) Why does Luka look uneasy coming out of the final timeout? Is he just trying to concentrate or is he upset?
2.) What does he keep saying to himself as he comes out of the timeout? Is it just a "tick" or is he saying "f*ck"?
3.) Why does he appear to be comforted by a staff member right after the timeout?
4.) Why does he look towards the bench in disbelief even before the time runs out and Dennis Smith Jr is still dribbling the ball?
5.) What is the "what the f*ck" at the end and the final stare-down about?

yup, luka could have drawn a double team and he could have assisted on the game winning or game tieing shot

Yah..he could even make a 3 point shot because he's 7/10 from the 3 point line... and he became the youngest player to make 7 3 pointers in a game at age 19
Hope DSJ got a watch by his team as gift, will be a help for the upcoming games.

Sad. Maybe coach didn't want him to shine too bright. It's like the first time he was close to triple double, but coach decided to have him out last quarter. Or when he runs really hot and coach decides to pull him out of the game and let the bench play.

Reddit user kankka88 posted the following, which seems to make sense, but doesn't quite explain his demeanor coming out of the timeout (unless I misread it): "According to Cooperstein, the play was designed to get Luka the ball. The official line was that Luka was covered (again, official line, ie, taking responsibility off of the players because players don't like to take blame) and that DJ went with 2nd option (DSJ). I think we can all read between the lines (Luka's reaction) that DJ chose the 2nd option WAY before giving Luka a chance to even get the ball."

What are you on about, the original play was over once the pelicans put Holiday on Luka, What is DSJ supposed to do pass it to the half court with Jrue Holiday guarding luka and AD guarding him with 4 seconds left. the play worked and he got an open look, just very poor BBIQ to not pull up for the. twitter.com/coopmavs?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor ^ chucks twitter, the play changed once holiday guarded luka.

smith passes to deandre and cuts (dont taking the ball and taking defender away, then luka takes the ball and hits) but smith because is has no brain , took the ball and didnt even see the clock , and lost the basket ... we cant make the playoffs like that ....we need to win 8-10 straight games to get in it....

If there was going to be a switch, by play design, tell me why Luka couldn't do what DSJ did? The whole shits retarded and shows that Carlisle is not the right man for the job anymore.

It's a pretty decent playcall but yeah DSJ had no clock awareness unfortunately. Good news is that he played pretty well tonight apart from those last 2 shots and created a lot of Luka open 3s tonight. The offense is much better when DSJ is out there with his back court mate.

carlisle lost the game ... he gave the ball to dennis who has 0 IQ ....ball goes to luka he taks the right decision .. we either go overtime or win...thats all...
He has been disappointed because they didn't manage to shot in 4 seconds. He is ussually capable to do it in less then second.
