    Thanks for checking out my most popular video! It's crazy to think that I made this more than 4 years ago. A lot of my current videos are much smaller than this, but I'd certainly like to plan more of these in the future. Are there any iconic songs (video game, anime, classical, etc.) that you think would be good fits for being recreated like this?

    The Introduction and Main Theme from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire would sound great in a multitrack format. So would Dragon Roost Island and the Great Sea Theme from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The Title Theme from that would sound awesome, too, if you could play accordion and Irish flute. Tears of Life from Pokémon: The First Movie would also work well, as would Oracion from The Rise of Darkrai. This might be a lot, but you did ask. Your playing is phenomenal, by the way, and I hope to continue to see you grow as an exception musician.

    The song, the song has restored my strength. But it alone can not bring harmony to the three Orange ones. When the treasurers of Fire, Ice and Lighting are mind, my song shall harmonies with there powers and tame the beasts both a both and below the sea. But this can only come to pass with the help of the chosen one. Only in the hands of the true chosen one the ice sphere will glow like the others, its power awakens. The choice is yours, you must go only were your heart leads.

    Wow.... simply amazing sir. You are surely one in a million. I play the baritone and have always looked for an arrangement in which I could highlight the baritone as a solo instrument. I would love to play a version of this piece at my church. is there any way possible you might record a version of Lugia's Song as an accompaniment track without the solo instrument? I would be forever grateful sir. Thanks, Mike

    I have a bet sort of going on, my dad thinks you or your family owns a music store. I think it's either from a music school or you being super rich haha :) I wish I had half of your talent and at least a vibraphone xD But we're looking at buying an ocarina ^^ You inspired me a lot! I actually compose songs sometimes (for games) and I'm looking at this video to kind of get information on how brass comes together well (I mostly overuse violin but brass sounds great so I'm really willing to learn more about it's sound and how it's used). Thank you for this wonderful cover, I've watched it at least 10 times now just for listening how pretty it is :D

    How did you record and mix the horn section? And what mic position did you have?

  • @JordanMooreMusic

    @JordanMooreMusic

    7 жыл бұрын

    If I remember correctly, the mic was placed to the left of where the camera is, so close to perpendicular to the bell and about 4 feet away. I didn't really do anything special to mix them. I just lined up the audio tracks and it worked pretty well.

    Lol, you could have just done it on the Ocarina and it would have been beautiful, but you used multiple instruments for effects. (Still, Ocarina Lugia's Song would be awesome xD)

    The one used in the videos is an Alto C 12-hole ocarina, also the Rotter Z-fans AC ocarina is made by a Hans Rotter who is German. I'm pretty sure this is it ocarinashop.com/epages/ncs24972088.sf/de_AT/?ObjectPath=/Shops/4972088/Products/%22KO-12-AC%20Fairy%22

    ***** okay. I still swear I saw a triforce on it. A working ocarina of time... I think many people would buy that. Working as in it plays music, not stopping reversing and slowing time.

    Which is the proper way to play the ocarina? I'm talking about the blowing part. I never get a beautiful, normal sound, sometimes it sounds too high (and horrible) and sometimes so low...

  • @JordanMooreMusic

    @JordanMooreMusic

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Jen Escamilla You have to change the way you play for every ocarina. It helps to play with a tuner to get used to the amount of air you have to blow in order to be in tune. Playing against a drone note will also help develop your aural musicianship. Figure out a way to hold a C drone (there's probably a website for this), and play a C major scale on ocarina, paying close attention to when a note is out of tune. Make sure a note is in tune before you move on to the next one, and eventually playing in tune will become second nature. I hope this helps!

  • @JetEriksen

    +Jen Escamilla Jordan Moore actually gave great advice! But i would like to add also using your tongue. Try making a 'tu tu' noise into your ocarina instead of simply blowing between your lips, you will need to use your tongue for that.

    No problem! And in regards to using your tongue, you should always start a note by saying "ta" or "da" rather than just blowing air. It's a little hard to get used to at first.
