this faq is nuts... wait, too soon? I torque my lug nuts in two stages. first with wheel suspended (not touching ground) I torque to half recommend or 50 lb-ft to ensure the wheel is on correctly and evenly. then with the wheel 80% on the ground, I finish with the final torque. is this more work, yes, and it may not be the most correct, but I feel more confident doing it this way....

Comment of the day. You're doing it the proper way. Besides, at the end of the day you can never be overly safe with something like wheels/tires. It's worth the extra step. Appreciate you @summerbrz !
