Crunchyroll don’t have a choice my dad works in the Legal field so basically toei could sue for whatever reason because they changed the name from the original one piece to roof piece if u see any of crunchy rolls videos they are allowed to title it any way they want to but it must include the actual name of the anime within the title

I loved how Kid looked surprised and then they panned to Zoro and Law looking all swag. They have seen and know the miracles Luffy can bring. This is the first taste, to Kid's eyes, on what Luffy is capable. This arc has been pretty damn teasing and long but I cannot wait to see how it ends.

The most underrated part is 1:39, when Kinemon cries, it feels like he has finally found the salvation for Wano, the one man who can take down Kaido after all the pain and suffering he's caused Suddenly, the big monster that cannot be defeated by anybody is now faced with somebody who can actually take him down at long last

1:56 I love the sass in Luffy's voice here. They tried to intimidate Luffy right before this saying, "I dare you to say it again." And he spat those words as if to say, "Did I stutter?" Straight Chad energy lol

1:07 The way that Luffy says Gomu-Gomu here and the angle that he's positioned at in the air reminds me a lot of when he faced down the 3 Admirals at Marineford with a Gum-Gum Stamp Gatling. In Marineford he failed to save Ace, but here he got a bit of revenge for Ace by knocking down Kaido (since Ace was never able to return to Wano to defeat Kaido).

Same here, i'm not that type who cries, but my eyes kinda felt that, leaked something.

The gentleness in which Luffy firms his hat back on gives me CHILLS. He's come so far and we've gotten to watch every step of the way, what a privilege!

I love the bit at 1:53 where Big Mom and Kaido both turn to look at Luffy as he talks. The way their faces are shaded reminds me of the first OP when the different arc villains had their faces flash on the screen all framed in shadow. Oh how far we’ve come…

They not only did justice to the adaptation of charpter 1000, but also made it the best episode of the show so far

This episode adapted the latter half of the hallmark 1000th chapter so it's really awesome to see anime only fans go through the same feelings that us readers went through reading it. It's beautiful isn't it?

It's probably been mentioned here numerous times already but my favorite part of this scene is that everyone is so absolutely shocked at Luffy knocking Kaido down... except Zoro, who just grins with pride. That's his Captain, the man he's pledged his life to, and this is just another reason why. The man who can do what Luffy just did is deserving of his respect.

the look of unbridled shock on big mom and kaidos face, and kids "hang on that cant be right" face really sell the power of this

Easily the most visually appealing episode I’ve seen in a long time, they truly kicked it up a couple notches didn’t they.

The part where Kaido and Big Mom were looking at Luffy in pure shock and sweat at the end was so satisfying.

The biggest tragedy since Ace and Whiteboard dying is them changing the name of this clip from Roof Piece

Using Prometheus as a light source is genius. The whole scene was perfect. I cannot think of a single thing that could've been delivered in a better way. Edit: After punching Kaidou, the whole lightning changes - the ("real") sun starts illuminating in the background, calling upon the new dawn. It is so well thought and directed.

A gift from Ace to Kaido. He couldn’t be here personally, but that doesn’t mean he still can’t send his regards. The animation team went hard for this episode. It looks better than most of their movies. Heck, it even looked better than episode 1000. They earned that break for next week.

This is one of the greatest episodes of anime I’ve ever seen. If not THE greatest.

I love how the bigger version of Red Hawk is Red Roc, just making it a bigger bird

They actually named it roof piece, wow whoever runs this crunchyroll channel needs a raise

We have witnessed so many epic enterances by Luffy so far and most of them were because of some kind of a rage moment. While he was walking between the 2 emporers it was pure confidence. We are witnessing a masterpiece in the making for many many years now. I hope I don't die before we see the end of it!!

What I enjoy about this clip is that the flashback sequence perfectly illustrates the Straw Hats' mentality. They have no personal stake in the conflicts of the lands they visit. But if they see people suffering, they can't help but get involved to help save that land.

Zoro is like: “that’s my captain”

To think that this started all the way back in Punk Hazard. We have been waiting a decade for this moment and it delivered in every way possible. Thank you Eiichiro Oda, thank you Megumi Ishitani, thank you to everyone involved with One Piece!

Roger vs whitebeard got to trending, why shouldn’t this?

I love Luffy says what they want after knocking down Kaido. And that transition from Oden to Luffy is epic too.

This episode is a masterpiece. It accomplishes so much and it does so organically. When it shows all the events that lead to this moment, I couldn't help but get chills. Especially since we were seeing snippets from Luffy's point of view. What really makes that aspect special for me, is that I don't often view the story through the eyes of a singular character so I don't typically know what some characters know and don't know. For example; Luffy never listened to Nami's backstory when Nojiko was talking about it so he doesn't know anything about it. Anyway, this scene was a reminder how far we have come since then and it really lays down the payoff in front of us. This is by far the best episode of One Piece to date and I imagine it will reign in the top 5 episodes by the time One Piece ends too.

I can't even begin to describe how much of a masterpiece this entire episode was.

Absolutely! They even gave us zoros perspective at the execution before switching to luffys from the prison. Such a nice detail even within the detail.

@@awesomeme9093 that is correct. They showed both perspectives, first you see zoros perspective see otama crying and then they shifted to luffys pov from udon where you can see the den den mushi screen and queen.

Arguably the best two minutes in Shonen Jump's history.

No matter how many times I rewatch this scene. I can’t help but remember Whitebeard’s speech before he died

That voice acting for Luffy though! Mayumi Tanaka put all her emotions into this and it shows. What a phenomenal performance!

For 20 years in the story Oden, Roger and Whitebeard were all waiting for the next generation to burst forward and change the world, and for 20 years we have been reading One Piece waiting for this moment. Oda has has truly ascended.

The greatest piece of fiction ever. Gives me the chills. Damn near cried. I love One Piece!! 😭😭🔥🔥

I love most of all that this sequence starts from the perspective of Luffy, both his real and mind's-eye views of events.

This was legitimately incredible! The moment, the animation, all of the flashbacks of all of the WANO ARC!! THE UNBELIEVABLE RED ROC!!!!

The best part of this is Big Mom has fought Luffy , relatively recently, and she saw how much stronger he was when he punched Kaido. It must've concerned more than a little at just how much stronger Luffy is.

Everything about this scene is perfect from the shock on Big Moms face, to Zoros smile, to the brief flashback to his brothers final moments

1:23 Man the animators went all out… what a punch. You can literally feel the power of it through your screen.

The direction on that Flashback Montage is phenomenal. Especially the transitions. It all builds to the devastating Red Roc wonderfully. Just a fantastic episode. 10/10.

I would love to see big mom also takes a punch like that from luffy,but since kid was able to do it for luffy would be a cake walk and she would be knocked out easier! I think luffy don't wanna to hit ladies that much close to sanji in the end!😄

The build up, the ferociousness of Luffy's attack, the absolute SHOCK on Big Moms face, and the "we are" ost in the background. These are the moments that make one peice my favorite anime of all time.

RIP to the legendary title

I had to come pay respects to this clip because this is the video that got me to watch One Piece. Had no idea the extent of what I was getting into but I’m so glad Luffy’s punch looked so cool here so I could appreciate how great his character is in the story

The fact that Crunchyroll called it roof piece makes it so much better huge W for the anime community

The huge majority don’t see any problems with it for the majority of the time in Wano but you gotta bring some nonsense. You want to rate pacing for this episode, 10/10. So stop being jealous that everyone voted this episode the best episode of One Piece and one of the best episodes in anime in general. This episode is FAR FAR BETTER than anything we’ve seen in the past thanks to our goddess Megumi Ishitani. You wanted to know why it’s great, there you go. Not to mention thanks to the great animators that accompanied her along this journey, it blew EVERY SINGLE episode on OP out of the water
