Bro Luffy’s gears have to be some the MOST CREATIVE power ups in shonen. Hands down one of the coolest transformation/forms of any protagonist ever. Gear 5 is just it idk. It gives room for these animators to COOK 🧑‍🍳 👩‍🍳 👨‍🍳🔥🔥

I think what people hate or should I say do not like about gear fifth is that. It’s goofy as hell but dangerous at the same time.. when facing gear fifth, the goofiness of it make you not taking it seriously. But when you get HIT by it. That’s when you realize you shouldn’t underestimate the goofiness look of it that it is a GOD you facing.

It just occured to me the very real possibility of an artificial Nika fruit. Vegapunk was able to re-create Kaido's mythical fruit with the only downside being that the user turned pink instead of blue. I'm under the impression that now, especially with the revelation that Luffy's fruit is a Zoan, there could potentially be another Nika at some point

I like that they put respect on lucci by giving him filler Ws, and then put disrepect on sentomaru with how kaku treated him lol this episode felt very studio trigger like which is dope, toei is killing it

It's very surreal to see the One Piece anime actually having some stellar direction and talent. The art style they chose for Eggland is really nice and I appreciate a lot of the creative touches with the main content. I've noticed this with plenty of other series where they slavishly adapt the panels from the manga as a storyboard. While that can work, FMA brotherhood, usually I prefer anime to try to make it their own. It's clear the director for this episode(and the last one) gave a lot of flexibility to the animators and artists when crafting a lot of the sequence. Thus, we have a lot of dynamic shots and just some good use of color and sound design. All in all, One Piece fans are eating good for stuff like this. Also, I will say this; Gear 5th in the anime over the manga. Not that Oda did a bad job. But when you consider the toon element; it was born for animation, case in point, rubber hose effects and the principles of animation(Squash, squelch, anticipation etc.). It's a lot like 3D Manuever gear from AOT in the anime vs the manga.

And now, in like 8 to 10 episodes, we'll get the "fight" for Kidd. And then the start of Garps fight.

Lucci gas is Zoro gas... in the anime of course. Lucci took multiple Haki-infused named attacks from G5 Luffy and was getting up from them and was not severely damaged. Even if Luffy was obviously trolling him a part of that is just the nature of G5 so that excuse can't be valid every time. Lucci hit Luffy more times in the anime, but it did no damage. Once Zoro pulled out one serious move and not even KOH style Lucci got severely damaged to the point of being knocked out. However, you have to acknowledge that the Lucci that Zoro is fighting was worn down from fighting G5 Luffy. Lucci is definitely climbing up my power rankings if I go with the anime interpretation. He is clearly on the level of the Yonko 1st mates we have seen so far. His durability and recovery rate probably being the most impressive thing.

Not valid . Zoro had to fight seraphim Mihawk , before that Kaku . And it was a low diff fight for Zoro , Zoro was following Mihawk by not going all out when it is not needed but as soon as he got serious it was a wrap and for story it was necessary because I think Zoro needs to be with crew soon because Nasjuro is there

Lucci about to get the most gas ever seen when chapter 1093 gets animated. Zoro uses 3 swords and advanced conquerors in that chapter. Whatever Toei decides happened in that fight is pretty much canon since it was all off screened. My guess is that they're gonna make the two have a crazy back and forth which will ruin the one shot and Zoro stalling arguments forever.
