WOOW… modestly I am the guy at 1:55 … I’m overwhelmed… thank you so so much! I believe that playing live music, creating an unique momentum, for me is the most powerful and amazing vocation. This Concert at Royal Albert Hall with Ludovico will remain on of the best moments that I experimented in my career. I truly appreciate that music and my happy face brigs all that joy out there!!! All the Best, Constantin Beschieru.

For me this is truly touching my deepest feelings i wont listen to this when it dont want to be stuck in emotions. It brings me in some kind off depression. But the sound to me is unbelievable beautifull, hart touching. I dont gett it

I too am perpetually amazed how humans have the capacity to appreciate and comprehend something as beautiful as this piece and yet be so willfully unenlightened to things they dont understand nor want to understand. There is good rap if your willing to look for it. The good stuff tells a story just as rich as this if you wouldn't choose to be so poor to receive it. And just because your dont like the message or if forces you to confront a reality you're uncomfortable with or dont have experience with doesn't make it invalid just because your believe it does.

I found this song during the 2012 olympics commercial. I must have been around…8? I spent MONTHS looking for it only to find this video a couple years later. I began playing violin because of that one violinist at 1:55, and now I revisit this video at least once a year just bc I love it so much. I’m almost 18 now, and I can’t believe Ludovico has made a huge impact on my life.

Ludovico, you have truly inspired me throughout my life. From the moment I listened to one of your songs (Nuvole Bianche), I felt like a changed person. Your incredible piano pieces have helped me through rough times and I now listen to them almost all day. Ludovico, I thank you for making such inspiring piano pieces, and I wish I could repay you somehow, for you have given me such an amazing gift. A stress reliever, pain absorber and life-changer is how I would explain your music, but maybe just saying that it is the most amazingly beautiful music in the entire history of our world would be easier to interpret. Again, thank you so much for creating such beautiful masterpieces! I will never ever stop listening to your music, no matter what anyone says! Keep being amazing, my friend!

A thing of beauty. A perfect marriage of piano and violin. There is hope for humanity after all. So long as there are human beings who can create such beautiful and inspirational music such as this, nothing is impossible and the flame of the human potential to forge a better world shall burn brightly, like a tenacious torch amid the darkness.

This is what Einaudi has inspired me to write. The music starts off slowly. A few tender notes, a delicate pianissimo. Like a soft breeze fluttering the edges of your heart. You lift your gaze from the darkness and search for this sound that shatters the silence, despite the pointlessness of such an exercise. You are, after all, enveloped in a shroud of black. Finding nothing, you stand, wincing at the stiffness in your muscles, and the creaking of your joints. Staring into nothing. You listen. At first, only gentle notes are audible, ruffling the air before you. Hesitant, unsure. Trying to discover whether they belong. You’re locked in place, bare feet glued to the icy ground, any attempt to fathom the origin of this mysterious music met with little success. As you listen, the melody builds, first to a melancholy tune, then a lilting symphony. The woeful composition drives spikes through you, razor-sharp ones, all aching longing and wistfulness. Notes of heartache, deep and wrenching, leaving you empty yet impossibly full, all at the same time. Millions of voices united as one, glorious harmony. You can’t quite figure out the rhythm, as if it’s just out of reach, just out of sight, just out of earshot, but you can feel it resounding within you, keeping in time with the beating of your heart. It’s sustaining you, keeping you alive. Amid the choking darkness, you can see it, blinding. An aurora of colours, mixing together, separating again. The song glows with its own haunting beauty. The taste of it, warm and metallic, like a summer thunderstorm. Early morning dewdrops, refreshing on your tongue. Their lips brushing over yours, soft as a cygnet’s feathers. But most of all, you can feel it, brushing past you. Growing stronger, stronger, until it is pushing you, forcing you backwards, and you have to lean into the tide to avoid toppling over. It’s like trying to walk upstream through white-water rapids - - impossible - You let the tension inside you dissipate and allow the flow to carry you away. The undulating waves of song are all you can see, everywhere, surrounding you - Beneath you - You’re riding the music, the currents lifting you higher and higher, as the waves fickle your toes - You gasp, panting, trying to catch your breath, and then you’re whooping and yelling, eyes shining like stars, but still lost in the melodious brilliance, and you’re laughing in pure joy and ecstasy, because - Because you’re floating - You’re flying - You swoop and soar above the sea of sound, rising and falling with the music. The waves eddy below you, swirling like the everything that is bursting out of you, all shock and awe, overwhelmed by a dazed happiness. As the music peaks, both in volume and immensity of feeling, you loop higher than ever before. It reaches a crescendo - Then it stops. Your heart stops. You collapse down, down to the ground. The music is gone. No swirling rainbow of light, no sparkling waves to soften your landing. No heart-breaking notes to tear you apart. It’s the horrible, horrible silence that does this now. You lay there, curled into the foetal position, a creature of the stark cold, the blinding darkness. You’re bruised and battered, a mere shadow of what you could never have hoped to be. Why did you let yourself hope? The tears trickle from your eyes, forming streams that criss-cross your pallid cheeks, and you imagine how if only there was light, they would appear much like the shimmering river that had flooded the place moments before; only much smaller, and insignificant. You are lost in this world of memory before the burning of your tears brings you back to reality once again. You weep without restraint then, ugly sobs wracking your broken body. Like a flash flood, the tears pour out of you. Splattering the ground. Mixing in with the dirt. Desolation spreading outwards from your central point, seeping into the floor, dowsing every spark of hope. Engulfing everything. It’s completely and utterly unstoppable. Why are you even still alive? Your heart has stopped; you should be dead. You cannot, after all, live without a heart. A thought crosses your mind: maybe, then, you’re not living at all. Why the emotions, then? What is you’re feeling? It doesn’t make any sense - it’s irrational, illogical. It can better be described as numbness. Concentrated at the hole your heart used to occupy, this numbness spreads outwards to the very tips of your fingers. It’s not so much a feeling as a lack of it. As if you’re just a shell, a husk of a person. As if there’s this achingly empty void within you that the music once filled. Maybe, when the music died, so did something else, deep inside of you. Maybe this it what it feels like to have no heart. You consider this for a moment, silver etched into your hollow face, as you remember how the music disappeared as suddenly as it arrived. The question remains: where did it come from? As you think it through, a thought occurs to you. The beauty of a stark realisation. Because, what if, instead of coming from outside, the music was a reflection of the inside, just how your wrenching tears are the product of all those conflicting emotions? That’s why, no matter how hard you looked, you could not find the source. That’s why you felt such connection, such harmony. That’s why something has died within you. It all makes sense now. The music. It was the music of your soul.
