I’m seeing a pattern here. Nearly every Lucy and Lucy and Martha song you react to seems to be your favorite version so far. I couldn’t agree more. Lucy is in a class of her own and soon I believe Martha will be joining that class. Who better to be your vocal coach than Lucy.

One of my favorite songs ever by the great Louis Armstrong. These young women can do no wrong. The singers that stick to the older Melodie’s with pure and beautiful words get to me the hardest.

The world is more wonderful with Lucy and Martha in it. A piece of heaven here on earth. Thanks for your reaction and joy for what you are hearing. Sounds like the same piano player as in Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Beautiful cords.

These two young ladies, Lucy and her sister Martha, absolutely sound like angels when they sing like this. Both of their voices have matured so much that they harmonize and sound like one voice, and there is no better duet. This song is one of my favorites and I love Louis Armstrong's version and can see him in my mind singing it. I have had so many tears from hearing Lucy and Martha sing this beautiful song that it has been hard to type. God bless you for your reaction, you always do so well that I really enjoy them!❤😊

Even without knowing them in person you can tell Lucy and Martha have so much love and respect for each other. And this song: I think it is always easy to speed a song up and make it sound awesome, but do it the other way around, so slow it down and make it sound awesome is a big challenge to take on. We see Angelina Jordan doing the same thing in most of her cover songs and it really works out when you have, as these girls have, the vocal capacity to remain on tone on one long breath. And to me those slowed down songs are very calming and "heavenly" to listen to.

Great reaction as usual, Chris! A cute doggy! We als got a giant hairy white Malteser that looks like a polar bear (and also behaves like one). They harmonize perfectly together, you can feel the affection for each other. This duet makes the song much more interesting despite its slower than usual tempo. Martha´s voice got so much warmth and structure, it complements beautifully with Lucy´s brighter vibrato.

Always a favourite song of mine, they have refreshed it, kept it delicate and brought new life with beautiful harmonising. Perfect.

Your reaction was the same as mine. I always excitedly anticipate anytime when these two young women perform a duet together. When they harmonize together, it's otherworldly so I was waiting for it. Knocked it out of the park and once again, your analysis of it was spot on. I'm a long time fan of Lucy and Martha. I admit I was nervous about this one. To take the iconic Louis Armstrong on...his voice is synonymous with this song. Not anymore. Lucy and Martha made it their own....again. Stunning!

How fitting Chris. My daughter did a school presentation in the 3rd grade - singing this song. Wife and I weep a bit each time we hear this song (wonderful rendition- even though you paused immediately- lol). Just drove her to Denver (from Chicago area)... Louis anyone? If you love every artist’s rendition, it boils down to the song. One that can’t be beat! These two sparkle together. They’ve got the whole package wrapped up in a bow here. Agreed! The harmonies in “Oh holy night” are the best I’ve ever heard and I’m old enough to have bought 78s of the Everly Brothers in the 50s I was a roadie for a band supporting the Tremeloes (Silence is golden) in the late 60s and my dad was a soloist with a Welsh male voice choir so I’ve heard some great harmonies in my time!

Chris, you're thinking of Izzy, who is the late Hawaiian folk singer and musician! Yes, fantastic version, very folksy, extremely emotional! Yes, he does perform his version with much more emotion than the Thomas' sisters, but Lucy & Martha together absolutely blow Izzy away with unbelievable, perfect, flawless vocals from each sister, both solo and harmonies.........my nod would still go to the Thomas sisters, hands down!

Very pretty. Very talented and with age may really find the depth in songs alongside a performance. Still love Eva Cassidy version best.

Great reaction but one point. At the end you said the original version and mentioned Israel, the original was in 1967 by Louis Armstrong.

the original song was sung slower so it gives the impression that it has more music - human voice
