Memory for me!,around five& a half years between them!,Martha is a very accomplished rider!.

Hi ya Juliet - thanks for this wonderful reaction. The dog's name is Phoenix and the horse is Martha's named Cloud. Martha is still just short of her 14th birthday so still 13. When I watch Lucy at 13 and compare Martha to Lucy at the same age, Martha looks so much more mature. Martha is quite the accomplished equestrian riding in dressage and jumping. My vote would be Memory - it brings me to tears every time with that crescendo toward the end - but you won't go wrong whatever you choose. Thanks again for you super support for these incredible young ladies. Stay safe & healthy !!!

Juliet, Martha sounds pitch perfect just as Lucy. Their sibling harmony is outstanding. The blend is amazing and the tones are spot-on, I don't hear any beat frequencies when they sing together. Their voices almost blend into one. Beautiful.

The horse belongs to Martha, her name is " Cloud ". Martha is good enough on a horse that she is considering an Olympic run. I love these girls and the talent God gave them . God gave me the gift of being moved by music. It can make me laugh or cry or think about life. Lucy almost always puts a tear in my eye. In this song I love the way she sings the word " pretty "

Juliet, In this video, as in a good majority of Lucy's videos, she brings things home with a soft, gentle ending. Here in this one, the last couple of bars had that restful, back-down-to-earth feeling. That peaceful resolve at the end is just the cherry on top. Very often it results in a final emotional reaction in me..

Coach, you really do understand this beautiful pair! Lucy is my favorite and her sister is following in her footsteps. That being said, you can feel the love that these girls have for each other. I want to hear them in the USA!!!

I love the fact that the two sisters both sing a song together that is so the song and make their own 😇🌷😇🌹🎶🎵 they both.

FYI..Lucy is focused on theater while Martha is an accomplished equestrian with her horse, Cloud. Martha and Cloud do Dressage and Show Jumping. Her eye is the 2024 Olympics.

Christopher That is so true !!! So many people now think they have to add so many vocal or set gymnastics just to sing a song it actually distracts from the song its self, it becomes a diversion and really just shows the person cant sing !!! Luc/Martha can SING, don't need a diversion !!

Seriously, you need to listen to "Make you feel my love". By far the best version of this song. She knocked it out of the park. Idid nit think it was much of a song until Lucy sang it. Now it is the last song I listen to before bed. Give it a try!

Agree - it is one of her best. Another one that is amazing, given her age, is "The Way We Were."

The dog Phoebe is Lucy’s and Cloud is Martha’s. It is written under the “more” part of the description. Martha is brilliant. She does every harmony perfectly for Lucy to shine. Hard to know from their duets how Martha would carve her niche. Martha is an equestrian athlete. Singing solo may not be in her repertoire?👍🌹❤️

I AM interested to see how Marth's voice matures in the next few years. Lucy is obviously the stronger singer with a fuller, rich sound but Martha still has years to develop. She does sound better in the harmonies than solo at the moment but who knows, with time that could change.

“Starlight” is a Chris Broom masterpiece from “Rosie” performed when Lucy was 14, a real sopranos song. “One day” was Lucy’s first song recorded with Chris Broom when she was 13, also from “Rosie” but will be performed by a much younger actress in the musical. “ Memory” is obviously a true classic and, as always Lucy nails it. Of those I’d plump for “Starlight” next. Also please don’t forget my favourite Lucy and Martha duet (to date!) “Oh holy night”, perhaps in the lead up to Christmas?

I always enjoy your reactions to all the videos. I know that I like and enjoy the artistic singing them but you give me the breakdown of why I'm enjoying them. I always love listening to Lucy Thomas and also to the duets with her sister Martha. I always feel better after hearing their videos puts a warm good feeling inside. I think that the song On a Clear Day You Can See Forever by Barbra S would be a good song for Lucy's voice.

I thought the song was sung in a very balanced duet,they complimented each other brilliantly,and Martha is young enough to find her own range and style when she chooses to do so.

Memory is quite a performance by her. By the way, Loren Allred has teamed up with David Foster a number of times.

I’m going to comment on your analysis of this performance before I see it. It’s not because I share any of your incredible musical expertise or experience, or because this song lacks the complexity of previous performances by Lucy or Lucy and Martha. It’s simply because these two young women take a sweet and simple song and blow it out of the water. Their performance is literally stunning. It’s both sweet and powerful - soft and strong - uplifting and emotionally draining - touching and beautiful. I think you will say these things in a more technical, enlightening and insightful way - as you always do. I just don’t see that it could be any other way.

One other point on this performance. You’ve often commented on Lucy using her arms and hands to express herself, as well as on the power potential behind her voice. Did you notice how Lucy held her hands in her lap, and how she seemed to use one hand to hold the other down so as not to over power the performance?​@@YourOnlineSingingCoach

Even though I love Lucy's voice and the expression in it immensely, it's much more exciting for me right now how Martha develops. It is clear that there is also enormous potential in her, but what will Martha make of it? In which musical direction will she go one day? Or maybe she will always want to stay in Lucy's shadow?

Kelsea Martha has been in Lucy's shadow all her life, and Lucy is a fantastic singer and Martha realizes this, probably why it has been a year since they did THE CLIMB> Martha has chosen to go her horse route and is very very good won a first and third this summer in Dressage and show jumping,....Lucy does NOT ride, you see Martha chose something Lucy does not do to excel in and shine and NOT compete with Lucy. Our two girls did the same thing, and expressed they were TWO seperate people doing the same thing that Martha and Lucy are doing. Martha being 5 years and 8 months younger will ALWAYS be the younger sister. Martha is a Fantstic singer for her age and Lucy is just the best but OLDER and that will not change !!!

Martha will probably not go in any direction musically, She may do the odd duet with Lucy. Martha is not interested in Music as a career She is heavily into show Jumping and has won medals at it .And it is as it should be Martha needs to be her own person If she decides at a latter date she want´s to venture into music then she has her Family and big sis behind her. I think we should stop comparing them. Martha has a great voice but she is not Lucy and never will be Lucy is a one in a lifetime.

@@colinhea SO true and people can be so cruel to compare two sisters so far apart in age, it is not fair to do that, We learned that with our two girls, and the younger one expressed that very clearly, they were TWO seperate people and each had their own things to do. They are in their mid fifties today and still very close yet have differing views of things and are each their OWN person !!! Martha will do what Martha wants to do, and she can still sing !!!

Juliet The dog is Lucys and is named Phoebie the horse is cloud and is Marthas, she competes in dressage and show jumping with a first and third this summer. Martha is 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy. Martha will be 14 Nov 4 2023 and Lucy will be 20 on Feb 21 2024, Martha is the age Lucy was when Lucy sang ONE DAY which we are still waiting for !!! Juliet, Although Lucy may have toned it down in respect to her hand g esters, I noticed that Lucy just can't resist swaying to the music. To me that shows that music and rhythm are deep in her being.

Juliet, please slip in "The Climb",with Lucy and Martha. It's to easy to get lost in any of Lucy's masterworks. Would love to here your reaction to "The Climb".🌹 P.S. I know I'm in the minority. P.P.S. I'd love to hear you react to all of her music. LOL 🌹

i like to suggest another stunning artist to you, the wonderful susanne sundfor from norway. before mentioning aurora or angelina jordan this artist has to be named. she has not only an angelic voice, but is also an excellent songwriter and composer. my all time favourites by her are: "the brothel" live at cigalle "undercover" live and if you want to go onto the most emotional journey i'd suggest "when the lord". this one will stick to your mind forever, i'd say. i have to add some more information to this one otherwise you are not prepared if you go blind into this special one. the song is a feature song for a documentary called "self portrait" about the norwegian fotographer lene marie fossen, who suffered from anorexia since the early age of ten years old. she sadly passed away before the movie premiered in norway. lene was highly valued for her intense portraits she did using only a hand camera and no artificial light. susanne sundfor became a friend while they worked together, you can see her in the music video. it is not one of those happy songs, i have to admit, but to me it's a masterpiece and shows ipressively the power of both music and visuals. she has many more songs, but this will do it for now.
