I consulted the lady who rescued the stray cat in the video, and she mentioned that she has already consulted a veterinarian. The lady explained that the surgery should be performed after the kittens are weaned. The kittens were born two weeks ago, and they need at least another month before being weaned. I'm concerned whether waiting for such a period might be too late for effective treatment. 😭

It would be possible to make the surgery for the cat earlier (before the kittens are weaned) if the foster mother is founded for the kittens. Some cat, that has milk and could feed them, but whose own kittens have died for example. I have worked in a homeless pet shelter myself taking care of cats, that have given birth, and her kittens, and know that not all kittens survive. I have had mother cat just with one kitten. When it comes to the surgery, it is also important who is making the surgery. Good timing but bad surgeon will not give a positive result eather.

The kittens can be given PET FORMULA MILK with a bottle and grow up healthy and strong. You could maybe stress this point out to the lady who rescued the mama cat so the surgery can be performed sooner. Otherwise I agree with you it might be too late for a good recovery. The bandage the cat wears is far too tight already. Just a protection on the side she puts on the floor would have been enough : one eighth week being pregnant and two weeks after the delivery, there is THREE weeks while the bone is doing its job repairing itself almost to completion before final consolidation. That's a very big deal. 😟 Would you mind contacting the lady again so she might consider the surgury as an immediate emergency, please ? I'm a veterinarian here in France, I guess the cat is not even one year-old seing its radiographies, and I'd like it to live with four healthy paws. It's too young to be incapacitated ! Thanks a lot for helping me to give a professional advice to that nice lady and her lucky cat. ❤️
