I wanted to personally say thank you so very much for your donation to St. JUDES. We lost our little Logan, age 2, last February to a rare cancer. St. Judes was amazing. Please know you are in my prayers for God's grace to help ease your broken heart. When I purchase my Christmas item from St.Jude I will do so by honoring Logan. If people say stuff was damaged in transit then it has to be the way it was handled by the carrier because NOBODY packs better than Andrew!

If you hang your bubble wrap backwards facing the wall, you won't have the roll get away from you while pulling. It's a trick I learned from the UPS store. If you rinse the glass in vinegar, it removes all soap residue and won't spot while drip drying. It brings out the shine especially in cut lead crystal. You have done a cat sale, you may as well do a bird sale. You can also do a B sale, birds, bees, bugs, butterflies, baskets. It's seems that in the gift business, anything that starts with the letter B sell better than anything else. Crickets are good luck for the home in China. They represent being industrious and hard working. A cricket box was kept on the hearth, which was the center of the house.

I love that yellow glass tray with the black stripes. It’s a dramatic piece.

You should ho through your shop at night with just your blacklight. I bet you'll find a lot of stuff that glows. I did that with my stuff and I actually found clear glass beer mugs that glow green. Pretty cool too I learned that clear glass can glow as well.

The clay face thingee is an oil burner. You put a candle in the bottom and scented oil in top tray.

Received a Blenko Wayne Husted Cocktail Pitcher from WhatNot seller: smashed to smithereens. One sheet of thin foam wrap and set into a bed of shredded paper. I know WhatNot needs to add shipping and handling for help with packing supplies but please, please pack rare pieces with extra care. Drew shows how to do it right.

I think the piece that you are now researching because the hat goes on the other way is actually a bowl for butter... a candle inside lights up the face and keeps the butter hot so you can dip your lobster etc. Just thinking.

The sleeping man on the Stavangerflint cup might be Gulliver from Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift. If you google Stavangerflint and Gulliver several pictures of the same come come up. It might be a chlidren's cup with the hole for a straw.

I think getting a glimpse of the inner psyche of your re-selling world. It's basically ALL yours until you are ready to release it. Now I have to learn the releasing part and how to know when. :)

The head with the bowl on top is a piece of Nicaraguan pottery. It is a serving vessel. You do in fact put food in the bowl and the bowl on top of the head. The one you have is a small one. There are much larger ones that hold very large serving bowls. For hot foods they can be warmed prior to putting the food into them and the clay will retain the heat. I was told what they were called, but it was in Spanish and I don't remember enough to write it here.

I am OCD when I package something. Many in the Postal Service don't know how to read the word fragile! You don't want to know how many times I write Fragile on the box. Each side will get a written at least twice.

I love the fact that you use paper in combination with bubble wrap. I prefer paper to popcorn. I used to use popcorn but I think paper provides a more stable material for shipping

I have to say - throw it! Because if you can't, don't ship it! The belt systems used in shipping facilities will do more damage. So funny how most people think that all packages are only hand sorted. I have seen them rip a box open just by catching on part of the sorting belts. Best thing is to also always pack the insides of hollow items, like the insides of vases.
