It's incredible how foreshadowing these lyrics were for Britney. And this rendition is just *[chef's kiss]*

I appreciate that Jeffrey really got into the spirit of it, dancing like a crooner of the time would, and the ladies' little gestures (especially the last ones at the end). It really gives that finishing touch and nicely completes the vibe that the song style starts, and the set and costume design continues.

My grandma loved this song. Used to play JJ's record all the time in my childhood. I like Britney's modern cover, but the original ballad will always be my fave version.

Any thought given to the lyrics, or this version of ‘Lucky’, would probably have been considered as just ‘a sad, but danceable ballad’! Great times…sweet memories! 👍

and there's the great pianist/arranger keeping a low profile at the keyboard. I have always loved his work back to his Scott Bradlee days - look him up, he's awesome. I bet he makes this band go!

Amazing and all the feels for the Britney retrospective, but can't help but also note the harmonies giving a real taste of the late, great Bacharach, so a double tribute!

Before the song began I knew it was going to be amazing!! Great decision having it sung by a man, especially as the lyrics were written in the third person anyway, and the genre choice just adds to the sadness of the words This is one of my absolute favourite Britney songs and you did a brilliant job!!

That 50's/60's doo-wop will do that. Also, the original is only devastating because of Britney Spears' fall from grace for most of the 2000s.
