His devil form is a result of him falling from Grace after he was kicked out. Essentially it's him being forced to wear the ugly side of divinity being burned by the very light he once wielded with great praise and adulation. Both sides are pure but only one is masked by the Light

It’s a shame we didn’t get to see this form of Lucifer for the rest of series.

Season 3 wasn’t terrible. The wings I think have looked pretty decent ever since season one. Although I wish they kept true to there true potential. Like when aminadiel was about to use his wings to slice lucifers throat? It would have been awesome to see them used more as weapons like that. Instead of just means of being basically omnipresent.

Honestly none of his siblings could possibly control the demons like he does but they still think of him as the 'irresponsible hedonistic' brother who doesn't care about anything. After reading some of these replies and posts, I'd thought I'd give a little clarity. If you really want to know how beautiful Lucifer truly was, then read Ezekiel 28: 12 - 15 (NASB version). It tells you just how beautiful he was and how God created him. It also gives you one clue about just how powerful Lucifer was before he fell. If you read those verses, one of them says this, *You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire.* After doing some research and talking to a pastor I know, they all agree that, "You walked in the midst of the stones of fire" means that Lucifer was able to move in and out of God's very presence. They also noted that "Anointed Cherub" is the *ONLY* time God ever referred to an angel this way. So basically, from a Biblical standpoint, Lucifer was not only the most beautiful angel, but also the most powerful. Some people have told me that this verse isn't referring to Lucifer....or that it's someone human. Well, if you are one of those fools who think that is true, then please look up the word Cherub. If you think this is someone else other than human, then please read all the verses. This being, you'll discover, was also in Eden. So do some basic math with whom were in the garden, and you'll figure out just who this is. From what I understand, Lucifer still has the ability to appear as beautiful as he ever could. It's one of his best ways at fooling people. Appearing terrifying, doesn't get quite as many followers as being beautiful and charming.

I think what we're looking at is the difference between biological form and avatar form. Feathered wings are his default setting, honking big bat wings are his avatar, for when he's 'working'. Mind you, if you've been working for millennia in an avatar form, it's probably going to feel like the default setting itself. BTW, anyone else wonder if his 'man-scapeing' (mentioned in the Satanist episode) was to remove pin-feathers? No?

I miss this show so much!!!

Personally,season 3 and 4 are the best of Lucifer show. So many push and pull between Lucifer and Chloe there too

The absolute best moment in the show. I think it might have been a little more intense if he was levitating a little while he spoke. But still.. ya I get chills rewatching this scene

Jay R I’ll explain it. It’s because she isn’t a demon that Lucifer can control. She’s a Lilim, which is a demon species created by Lilith A HUMAN, not a Celestial being. Therefore he can’t control Maze.

Always fascinated by the notion that Lucifer would ever look like this. He would probably be the most beautiful thing one could ever imagine.

This was an amazing show. One of the best ever, and this was one of my favorite scenes.
