I can somewhat relate to that. My father wasn't the best dad when I was growing up. I never felt like he loved me or my siblings like a dad should. I have a lot of resentment towards him because of that and what he said and did to us. But, he is still my father and I love him and would NEVER allow anyone to harm him.

hate to be the guy but that's common misunderstanding. he didn't kill God he said "God is dead, we have killed him" because we had outgrown the need for God, but surprisingly he wasn't jumping with joy, he saw it as a tragic necessity, for us to become better.

I know, I've read his books, they are kinda depressing, but yeah he wasn't entirely right.. A big part of the world is still very religious and have faith in God, although yes.. It's becoming more and more Atheist. Which is not necessarily bad, I do think it's not about the gathering of the people and the giving up of the free will (going to churches) but having faith, and doing the steps to find Peace is the right thing to do, whether God is real or not.

@@ashleytrout7452 Honestly? I would not be surprised if this was the first time he saw Luci's devil face in person, god or human. I do not think that Luci had that face when he rebelled or when he was cast out. And it is not like god visited Luci even once in Hell. Honestly, i would not be surprised if angels, other than Michael and Amenadiel, have not EVER seen his devil face. I am not sure if his mom had, when she was on Earth(maybe she had, but i do not remember, so i may be wrong). God said in the next scene, that "it is quite intense UP CLOSE". So he may have heard/knew about it, but he never witnessed it in person.

I think this is the moment God started seeing what he really put Lucifer through (seen when he asks why Lucifer chose that face because he knew Lucifer would have to see himself as a monster in order to have that face) and I really love this scene for that

for this particular scene, I like to think that it took god (luci's father) to become a human for his son to understand that he gets hurt too. probably he can't get hurt physically when he's not a human, but he can get hurt emotionally from the fact that his son is mad at him or that luci is hurting so much that he chose that face for himself. he was a horrible father tbh, but doesn't mean that he wasn't hurting. and luci saw that pain when god became human. this probably also reflects the fact that luci feels compassion for humans which is essential for him to become a god.

Yeah, he does feel compassion for humans. He never kills humans, he only killed Cain.. And that is what Cain wanted anyway. But, you remember that Luci's mother she hated humans. And she kept saying it was God's creation, so obviously God loved humans more, but not Charlotte AKA God's wife, she hated humans, and it was even said in earlier seasons that she sent the floods, and she caused most of the disasters, so basically if there's a villain it was more Luci's mom, actually. In terms of not having much compassion for humans, remember how Luci's mom almost killed Chloe?

@@lopolik Yes I do remember her despise for humans and no pity for killing them but don't forget how she almost sacrificed herself to save her son. She loves her children, and, I believe, still loves her husband and I'm glad both of them reunited in her own Universe

They all hated humans, Michael, didn't even care, he killed humans, he didn't give a shit about humans.. Only Lucifer and Amenadiel and maybe a few others liked humans.. but really, the angels really didn't care about humans that much!! Neither did Luci's mom.

After Luci tell his father "They were going to kill you" the look on Gods face and saying "They were weren't they" gave God a new understanding of why mortals fear death and love life.

People should realize. Lucifer loves his family. Even michael. He'd be more than happy if michael tried to attone for his sins. Sure he'd make fun of him for it, but he doesnt want to kill him or to see him dead. Which becomes obvious during there last fight

Yes, he had mercy on him, even though he did evil things he is still Luci's brother, so he just cut off his wings as punishment. Good point, Lucifer does love his family - and his whole predicament that ''I am not capable of love.'' is actually false, he surely is... He just did not realise it.

The two of them may have their differences but one thing is truly certain you never EVER mess with another person’s family

Sometimes I hate him, and am angry at him.. But when I really think about it I know deep down he means well and he taught me some things that are important, and some things we have in common too me and my dad.

I miss this show so much. I may have to do a rewatch.

you can see the deep love Lucifer has for his dad. And this might be his dad really seeing that for the first time. When he needed Luci, Luci was there.

I like how the show showed us how much Lucifer hates his dad. But this scene proves that no one else loves God more than Lucifer.

This is a great scene to remind us of there’s relationship getting better but it also tell me that did not see enough of his devil face in part 2

When you realize that God was sad cuz he didn't understand why Lucifer saw himself as a monster (that's what his devil form is. He sees himself as a monster)

I wonder if Lucifer can make his face look like what ever he chooses to then he could look like Chloe but with a male body 😂👏

That's why I LOVE this show, we get to see how much he love his parents while pretending to hate them in the 2nd season, when he try to reunite them apparently to punish them but obviously so they can be happy. And here, while he seems to be very angry against his father, he just loose his mind the second someone just think about hurting him

This show will NEVER get the credit it rightfully deserves.

If we take this scene from a bible perspective, The devil loved god the most and was jealous of humanity, that they didnt deserve his love but not only that tho he refused bow down to them (from what limited knowledge i have of the bible) When the human hits his father, he still has that great love but after lucifer is done kicking their asses god says "put the human down samuel" and you can almost see it on his face like "this human struck you, hurt you and deserve to be punish" almost like he's the guardian angel of god himself and there he goes back for one second to the "bible-self" and say to his face that they were gonna kill him as if his perception of humanity was right from the beginning, that they didnt deserve Gods love. Whats more awesome is that look on God face with a sad face when he says "they were, weren´t they?". Imagine if after that happened and God couldnt move past that scene (im a atheist fyi and i can be really in fault for this information but its a awesome perspective if what ive heard is true and funny scenario, what would had happened if he didnt forgive?)

Well for me When God comes to earth it was the best season for me Love story of Lucifer nd Chloe was amezing but love of dad and son was more than amezing ❤ So much emotional so much loving And when God told to Lucifer that he proud to him that was the best dialogue in the whole series 😢❤❤❤❤

Yeah, he's a great actor, in ''24'' tv series as President Robert Palmer he was the best character in the show, next to Sutherland.

Lucifer is more aware of God being human than God is

What makes this scene touching is that even the Devil loves his father. It’s interesting because it makes you wonder how did God truly feel about casting his son out of heaven. I love this series because it basically is what if the bible is only a partial look into the story about these characters. And lucifer is a play on the trope of being behind the scenes of what really happened.

This actually kinda scared me because his nice demeanour is great but he’s also known to be kinda..rathful and tends to lump not just the 1 but all together…if he sees 1 human as undesirable he sees all of them like that and knowing that I thought he was going to punish humanity in some form and Lucifer would have to stop god from destroying humanity or messing with their minds or something sees as Lucifer grows attached to humanity even if he sees most humans as toys of pleasure or something lol

That had to be the unluckiest woman in creation to piss off both God and the devil

yea those were my thoughts exactly, Samael is like the Angel of death or The grim reaper, which in fact in this show was Azrael, another angel, and I always thought Samael is the same as Azrael, not Lucifer, but maybe there are some different interpretations.
