Oh they definitely did that. Both child Luke and teen Luke actors are cute and endearing. Those scenes with child Luke all scruffy and bleeding with cotton up his nose and teen Luke being hesitant with Rhaenyra cradling his cheek--definitely written to tug the strings of anyone with a heart.

I think he has brought out every parental instincts in us because I too want to protect him like he’s my child 😅

in my opinion Rhaenyra was closer to Luke than to any other of her children. I think she was there for him because unlike jace, who seemed to be more confident about himself Luke seemed to be more insecure and overthink stuff. which would even make it more tragic

I don't think she was necessarily closer to him. We see that she calls on Jace quite a lot, he's like her right hand man, but Luc was her baby boy, I think she knew he was too innocent for this world. It's sad.

Lucerys died and with that Rhaenyra's pear terms ceased. Even if it was an accident or not how could she let go of the fact that her son died in such a cruel way? Aegon II celebrated Luke's death, so that's why they took actions against him. (Though I don't agree in how their revenge took place.)

She did Everybody assumed Storm's End was safe because Baratheons with Boremund (father of the current lord) were loyal to Rhaenyra and Velaryons because of Rhaenys who was his niece and whom he always supported even back in times of Great Council. Nobody expected anything bad to happen

He was so precious. He died leaving tears in my eyes I just couldnt- I know this was bound to occur but watching him grow into such a chivalrous and gentle boy who was loved so much by his mother ripped my heart. I stand by Rhaenyra for whatever she's about to pull in the future.

From not wanting to get pregnant from being scared of horrors and pain from it, to marrying out of duty taking the risk of giving bastards birth to raising the boys well and be good mother to them. It's painful. In just one day she lost her father, learned the betrayals of her friend, her brother, lost her daughter and now lost her innocent boy.

Poor kid was dragged into that situation on Driftmark. He didn’t even know what was going on, asked what they were doing, a fight broke out and he was just a bystander, immediately got his nose broken and strangled and told he was going to die. Six years old and terrified, in self preservation mode, picks up the knife that Jace brought to defend himself. Alicent’s gaslighting is on par with Cersei’s.

Now they've woken the dragon 🔥🔥

Every time I see this scene again, I keep getting mad at Aemond and hating Vhagar poor Luke I loved him he was so cute and sweet. I feel so bad for Rhaenyra she was an amazing mother she showed her children love ❤❤❤❤❤.

His death was so sad…went to deliver a message and met his fate. How he was looked down upon his whole life for being a bastard and he never got to grow up and prove himself

Spoilers Knowing what will happen to her later on the story i can already see myself crying over her whole story with her children. Idc what you feel about Rhaenyra but imo she’s a tragic character when you see her as a mother, losing your children and loved ones, one after another is enough to make anyone go mad and paranoid and protective. It’s not an excuse to the bad things she’ll do but i can sympathize and understand her more than the other characters because her downfall is because of her grieve over her children and losing everyone.

I think that in the last years of her life, her anger died and what remained was pain, regret and possibly guilt. To spoil even more, about other characters... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Alicent survived the war, but her father, sons, daughter and grandsons were dead. Her granddaughter survived, but they made her marry Rhaenyra's surviving son. She told the girl to kill him, afterwards she was forbidden to meet her again. Her only company were her handmaidens.

@@kasraharichehpour3553 I don't know about that. While I get Daemon's motivations, I feel so bad for Helaena. She never wanted to be queen and she is such a sweet character, and what is coming is most devastating towards the character that least deserves it.

@@MissZerglot that's true, you know what I mean in my opinion "the Greens" the faction deserve it but not Helena herself she is very innocent and she obviously doesn't deserve it at all

she lost her father, the children the right that the father gave her, all of this from one moment to the next, and there are people saying that she is going crazy, hell she is strong and was rational until now, I would have ended up with everyone for less than that
