No one coughed during those silences. Incredible display of humanity at its finest.
This is simply one of the best recorded performance of this concerto. I love the tempo and the powerful, playful playing.
These boys are brilliant; not just because of their maturity/age but because they share a rare gift of likemindedness that makes them one. Never heard such an extraordinary duo.
Notice the eye contact between the two. They play as ONE. Priceless and never to occur again.
Outstanding in all ways. Such difficult tonal variations, and yet not a single detectable slip. Near-perfect is the best one can achieve, of course, yet to my ear, this duo-plus seemed perfect. Thank you. Bravo!
Another gem by Poulenc, for too long sidelined but now being more appreciated and about time!
An unusual silence of the audience during interruptions of the concert flow can be experienced here! That's extremely rare! Besides that a very interesting and difficult-to-play piece of music of modern style to the likes of which my ears need to get accustomed by and by.
Poulenc is one of those great composers of the 20th c, who should be heard far more often. Absolutely unique style and such a versatile composer. Thanks for the upload.
I love everything about this: the music, the way the video was shot, the interactions between the musicians, and the fact that they are both brothers and one of them looks kind of like Michael Fassbender.
Their energy is contagious, I swear
The more I replay this the more I enjoy it. It is sheer exhilarating fun and joy and beauty in a miserable era. PLEASE Remember this joy that you've given us during the "apart" times of Coved19 Arthur and Lucas.
I am a HUGE fan of Argerich and i came here after someone posted on Argerich’s performance « go listening to Jussen’s perf » and i have to admit this is by far the best performance of this piece i’ve ever listened !
The very best performance of this delightful piece bar none: even composer performance. Brilliant technique and young uninhibited fingers play into the youthful, exuberant, and brilliant world of Poulenc. Lucas and Arthur should be proud!!!!!
I'm impressed how these Dutch brothers know how to interpret French music. I listened to their Debussy. Wonderufl. They have completely captured Poulenc's witty urbane and sensual stylings . I remain grateful and delighted.
I love Poulenc. These two kids are totally amazing. Love it when they smile
