Ls3 Swapped S -10 Blazer Walkaround

As requested by one of my subscribers, here is a more in depth look at my
Ls3 engine swapped 1991 S-10 Blazer.
1991 Chevy S10 Blazer - 6.2 Ls3 swap - donor engine from a 2011 Camaro SS.
6L80E Auto trans w/ custom crossmember.
Custom length driveshaft.
Rear end diff (disc brakes) from a 2001 Chevy S10 Blazer.
Rear leaf springs & shocks (3" lowered) from Belltech.
Front spindles, springs & shocks (2" drop) also from a '01 Blazer.
Custom grille is from a GMC S15 Jimmy.
Bucket seats (modified) from a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT.
Rear seats (modified) from a 2000 S10 Blazer.
Hood gas struts from a Honda CR-V.
Brake booster & master cylinder from 2011 Camaro.
Center console (custom front section) from a '99 Olds Bravada.
Overhead console (modified) from a 2000 S10 Blazer.
Rear License plate bucket is from a 1978 Ford E-150 van.
License Plate lights & steering shaft from a 1996 Jeep Cherokee.
3rd brake light assembly from a 1999 Volvo station wagon.
Custom instrument cluster & cruise control from Dakota Digital.
Radio/touch screen head unit from Kenwood.
Custom upholstery from Charlotte Harbor Upholstery.
Battery relocated to the rear of vehicle.
Cowl induction hood with SS stripes.
Front bumper is narrowed and smoothed over.
HID headlights, all other bulbs are LED.
Wheels/rims from Race Star.
Paint and hood stripes applied by North Port Auto Body.
Total time for rehab was 3 years.

Nice blazing blazer. Went to the turkey run in Daytona, Fl with Tommy very nice sound and ride.

Well.... Thank You. I really try hard to keep things as realistic as possible. and spread my know-how to others. I know where the flaws are in and on my Blazer. I'm just a hard working honest guy. In the end, you really just have to please yourself.

Very nice I really like it I was a bit disappointed when you said it wasn't a real 396. That would have been cool

@Gary Fraser I'm glad you like it. I get what your saying about a real 396, but too heavy with less horsepower and lower MPG with a carb.

Looks awesome, love the engine bay... Im doing a LS3 carb like look for my 72 Chevelle. I prefer the old school look too.

Hey i forgot to ask... did you delete DoD on your LS3 by using the DoD delete plugs and reusing the oem "maze" style valley plate?

@awtc72 I only deleted DoD in the tune. The mechanical part of the delete will come out when I do the cam next summer.

What size rear tires?

Rear tires are 245/50/17 The fronts are 215/50/17

Why the 2001 blazer front spindles?also we're those spindles a direct bolt on or did u have to modify them to work?

@Patrick dubuc I was going to replace the old spindles with 2" lowered ones. I found out on KZread that the 2001 Blazer ones have better built in bearings in them and I get dual piston calipers to boot ( the old ones were single piston) best of all they bolt on with no mods needed.

@@tommywestway so everything on a 01 blazer spindle, caliper fits? Same with booster and master and rear end axle?

@@damnitdang yes, the spindle ,caliper and rear diff is bolt-in from 01 Blazer. The brake booster and master is from the 2011 Camaro that I got the engine and trans from.

@@tommywestway is the rear diff axle same width? 89 blazer ebrake cable connects to 2001 disc location?

@@damnitdang Axle width is the same. 89 Blazer ebrake cable will not work with '01 disc brake, cause old ones were drum brakes. I do not run a parking brake on mine. Auto trans does the parking duties.
