Something that LS did not point out is that for Skarner's E, if he collides a target with a wall, the cooldown is reduced by 65% so he can have it up potentially a lot in late game team fights

@@mozan4469 I agree I don't like any of their champ designs and I don't feel like they belong, but I do want Llama to stay because I think they have potential, idk, just a feeling, it seems Smolder was an answer (a wrong one) to a widespread criticism of the ADC role and from what I've heard K'Sante was/is very fun to play as and answered tank mains criticism of the relatively unfun tank roster, I don't play K'Sante or Tanks so I can't comment on that, I hated every second of it as an Adc/Mid player. Idk, I just feel like if they had a bit more experience and polished up their designs they could do some really cool stuff that fits better into league.

ok so quick though. the ult can pull over terrain it says so if you use ult over blue wall hit an opponent over wall in brush or something a teammate hits a blast cone and land further from blue buff do you just pull them forever far away? also thinking about ult displacement on three enemies with karma shield/enchanter speedups......can we not?

Bard ult, shaco ult, old fiora ult etc. are classified as game removals, not suppressions. Whether you find that name accurate or not is up to you (for example, things like damage over time, morgana ult tether, ..., still affect champions under the effect of 'game removals'). A general rule of thumb is: can it dodge Karthus ult? If yes, it is has the 'game_removal' tag (interestingly the hextech gates have the same tag).

you do not receive damage over time during bard ult, but night harvester(although now gone) and hextech alternator work on his ult(if bard ults you with them off cooldown), not sure about morgana's ult but i think it might deal damage too

When they say for Skarner's R that it can pull enemies over walls, that he can move them from over the wall to him if they are hit? For example, if the jungler is doing Dragon too close to the blue-side wall and Skarner ults on the other side of the wall and hits the jungler, does the enemy jungler go over the wall to where Skarner is?

the reason why he won't because he will probably have zero base stats with these abilities and also you don't really get any HP scaling with support items (which is the main stat of his abilities. it will probably be good through levels and farming which most likely end him as a top laner or jungler tbh Also he will most likely struggle into range and poke so enchanters and long range slow/cc/poke supports will fuck him over big time...imagine like playing Skarner into shit like Janna/Lulu with 300 movement speed and getting slowed on the top of that (not to mention Lulu's polymorph xdd)...Karma Ws you while running 2x speed of yours...Seraphine slows and roots you..Taric, Naut, Alistar, Leona, Rakan, Thresh can easily interrupt your E engage...naah it will be unplayable botlane...

What? That's a bad take. He doesn't have a quick gap closer ability like most engage supports, his e is slow at first and can be stopped by any cc abilities. Unless you want to sit under tower until six, but then it's no different than using Malphite support only for ult utility.

I main him for years but each time people were surprised to see a skarner in their game. Nobody played him.

Seems pretty strong as a heartsteel tank with all those hp ratios and max health damage. Maybe heartsteel -> titanic to help take advantage of his attack speed.

Add a stacking increase his attack speed when hitting jungle monsters on his passive. Or if that is overly strong in testing (which i assume it would be), put it on his e's and w's ability instead of basic attacks. This dude needs more Jungle presence in these games.

@@christopheberthiaume2371 16% every 13-7 seconds, though, versus 6% every 2.5 seconds generally reduced to 1.5 seconds in common usage; if the same timeframe of 7 seconds, it's the new one's 16% versus the old one's 28%, 34% if you want to make it 7.5 seconds, that's pretty insane even with skarner's new passive you're looking at 28% in the same time frame i'm pretty sure, except i'm fairly sure he'll be getting less spellblade procs and titanic procs

@@Doublejho definitely, its around being k'sante-like as its also coming from the same guy behind k'sante, rather than our old scorpion concept of being a caster champion going muramana or even lich bane spamming Q, but now all your abilities apply group control plus you deal even higher damage and remember: scaling with HP building tank. You dont choose between builds within numbers anymore u go hp either way and still deal a bunch of dmg, can be braindead but you can go for shojin and I believe liandry will be really good against mordekaiser and other bruisers depending on the match. So while it doesnt look so incredibly good the reason why is just as LS said, and it was said by riot u wont depend on ult, this was their major objective with skarner. Meaning u dont need the spore anymore and u actually chunk people's health, not depending on buff or deciding if u deal dmg or not, an actual threat, I do love skarner and the rework is a bit messed yet interesting haha

does skarners passive stack? For instance if you have lots of attack speed and guinsoos could you stack like 5 stacks of vibration on the enemy and deal 60% max health magic damage?

We might just see skarner tank and senna support. And he easily can be flexed top as well with those numbers, so we have a triflex champ. Enemy team might respond with olaf trundle flex for top or jg, and we will be seeing a lot of millio on the enemy team as a response to skarner triflex.

You guys are misjudging the percent hp damage on his kit, First he has very little base dmg, which means he isn't that bursty. Most mage spells and assassins deal around 300 base dmg on one of their spells plus scaling. Secondly, he has little scaling and only has the percent hp dmg. Third, percent hp dmg is not op or overpowered unless its true dmg or a giant chunk like brands passive all at once. His passive is applied by hitting 3 times, leading to delayed dmg and its a dot from his passive. His Q has to hit 3 times to do some percent hp dmg and base dmg. Realistically his dmg over a 5 second fight would only be around 24% max hp minimum due to his passive once it hits, it only last 4 second btw only his q and ult apply stacks up to three. So keeping in mind that he needs 5 seconds to do 1/5 of your hp bar his dmg is low, so the passive are their functionally to keep his damage relevant against tanks and bruisers since their durability is so much higher than other classes. Skarner can get free dmg sure but it takes time and has counterplay one jak sho and his dps from passive and q are somewhat ignored, skarner wont build penetration items. All his scaling is bonus hp. Lets say he had base dmg instead of percent hp dmg on his kit. Lets say his q did around 300 dmg and he had a dmg proc on his passive that did dmg, this could lead to funny one shot builds where he goes lethality and rushes you down like a hecarim. So in this case percent hp dmg with very low base dmg is a good thing for league not bad.

Make the champion overpower... ✅ Sell ​​a lot of skins for the high pick rate... ✅ When it becomes permaban and skin sales become low after time, just make huge nerfs... ✅ That's Riot's cycle in years. 🤡

@@antistaplays4240 maybe not complex but wouldnt say its not overloaded. skarner has literally all the tools to be one of the best champions in the game. max health dmg, can gank from insane angles, slows, shields and f into r can just win teamfights by itself. just imagine him locking down 3 members and neeko just follows up with r. im pretty sure he will see a ton of play even in pro play.

gotta love his E is what Sion wishes hid ult was. It is wild his E doesnt require terrain to go through

As a Skarner main I LOVE this rework but im also dreading him becoming perma picked/banned.

He reminds me alot of the udyr rework. One thing to note is it looks like his E can be stopped by hard CC, which means he will need good timing/positioning to engage with it properly. Since that is his only engage tool on a 24 sec cooldown, and he has low MS his mid-lategame engage is going to hinge hard on one ability. However once he gets in looks like he will reac havoc. So many %HP ratios, the titanic tank build is going to go insane.

His ultimate looks really overpowered given how strong his E ability is. I thought the low base movement speed would make it worse but if his E is as good as it is, the R range and ability itself seems just too strong. I mean suppressing 3 enemies like that? Cmon that’s stupid…

@@07Lightless it doesn't look remotely close to Sion ult (looks slower, it's interruptable etc.), so I think the gameplay VOD makes it look way much better than it is...but if you just think about how much movement speed, dash and CC can interrupt his E and you realize that most of the meta can easily dodge it with 1 hand...and after the dodge...you just stand there waiting to get shit on without a gap closing with 360 movement speed and lack of disengaging tools...

I saw that his Q doesn't have base damage, just ratios. But then I realized that it better not have base. Becasue it is an ability that gives him *attack speed* and range - and his passive gives PERCENTAGE MAX HEALTH of up to 12% ON HIT. I think you can interrupt his e through cc. But how he basically only scales with hp and that turns into dmg, %max hp on top is just lost. Imagine you would need to build damage to deal damage. And not just build hybrid tank about everywhere since that’s just better cause damage falls off and you will never see assassins in pro play unless some champ is weirdly broken in another way but never build for lethality cause that’s just not it. Why ever go cyclosword when you have sundered sky.
