    After many years with a camera in my hand, I’m currently getting into timelapse photography as it is a lot of fun. I installed the free version two days ago and watched this tutorial. Then played with it and rendered some test timelapses. Combined with the Holy Grail tutorial and how easy the software is to use, I’m impressed. This fits into my existing workflows perfectly. You just got yourself a new customer, thanks for this amazing tool.

Your efforts have opened the door for me to yet another facet of photography that I'm excited about. Having worked through a few sessions now, things are falling into place and the videos are definately a tremendous help for timelapse beginners like myself. I'm totally impressed with the app and results - thank you!

    I am using Lightroom Class v13.3 with LRTimelapse 6 for the first time, but it is far from the first-time I have used Lightroom and know how to use its develop module controls. But based on this tutorial, I have a very basic question, I have chosen my keyframes in LRT6 and selected them in Lr. I have done my edits for the first keyframe and am ready to move to the next one. My question is: Where in Lightroom do I find the "Sync Script" option or command? Is it the "Sync Settings" (Settings > Sync Settings) command? If so, I presume I choose " select all." Thank you in advance for your help.

    If you use Lightroom's native "Sync" this will overwrite background adjustments, that LRTimelapse already did. Insted use the special Sync script that you will find in the Lightroom Menu, at the very right. HI, I don't have Lightroom but I have Photoshop with Camera Raw, So I can't (don't really want to either) use jpegs as I have no way to make the DNG files without Lightroom. So can I do this instead? I import the NEF's to LRT and let it create the XMP files, then I edit only the key frame images in Camera Raw and save the edits in the XMP (I assume it will only save changes to the XMP e.g. exposure and things like that and it will not edit the special things that LRT put in the XMP when it created the XMP file). Of course with no Lightroom I cannot run your LRT keyframe Sync script either, I can only edit each keyframe individually and note the settings I changed and their values and then apply these same changes to the next key frame (then perhaps some further edits like temperature) and so on for all the keyframes, for 5 or 6 keyframes this is not too hard. Then when I go back to LRT it will see the changed XMP files and update, at this point I have manually achieved nearly the same thing as Lightroom would you agree? thanks for your reply in advance

  • @LRTimelapseOfficial

    @LRTimelapseOfficial

    Camera Raw and Lightroom share the same basis. So yes, you can use Camera Raw also, even if some comfort features like the sync script and the export templates will be missing. I wonder however, why you don't have a Lightroom Classic license, if you have Photoshop. With the photography subscribtion for example you would have both licenses. Also with the "full" Adobe subsciption. However, without the sync script you could synchronize the settings via the native sync method, just make sure to untick the LRTimelapse special "reserved" Masks and sync all other settings but those. The rest of the workflow is similar. Of course, exporting the developed images would be a custom task too then.

    The framerate in the video files is only a metadata which tells the video program or editor how fast the clip should be played. You can "interpret" the framerate differently in any video editing program, if you want, then it will play back slower or faster. But I still don't see the point of using 16 fps or 5/6 etc. Maybe you could explain this in the forum (feature requests board): forum.lrtimelapse.com

    The length of your video will depend on the amount of images and the frame rate. For example, if you have 600 images and play them back with 30 fps as a video (30 images per second) that would be 20 secs. You can do the math. 10 minutes of timelapse would require 18.000 images. (10 * 60 * 30fps).

    Warum passiert es, dass wenn ich die Sequenz zum Lightroom ziehe, erscheinen alle Bilder vergraut und ich kommen zum Bearbeiten der Bilder im Lightroom nicht weiter? Ich bitte um Hilfe!

    Wie ich dir bereits im Forum geschrieben habe: Vermutlich sind die Bilder bereits im lightroom Katalog und werden als Duplikate erkannt und daher nicht importiert. Nimm die Bilder am besten erstmal aus dem Lightroom Katalog (entfernen), danach kannst du sie auch wieder importieren.
