What if they really do play harder because she's there watching them? It can be a very real thing. They may be inspired to play tougher on D because even if they lose they want to at least know they tried their best in front of her. It's like if your parents were at a game to see you and hadn't been there to see you all year until this time. How hard would you play knowing their there to support you?

Not having Moses Wright (ACC POTY) available was a huge disadvantage for GT in this game. LC had no one who could have guarded him. LC won this game from 3 pt line in 2nd half...Illinois won’t let them have those open looks

We needed Moses to rebound for us, our offensive and defensive rebounds were terrible.

@@ambigfeat41 Moses Wright was unable to play due to a positive COVID test, not an injury, do your homework. I’m not discounting your W, just said GT was handicapped as a result. Irrespective of that, the Ramblers are one & done in this year’s NCAA tournament, barring Illinois having to withdraw, so you all enjoy your bus ride home 👍🏼

@@KoreyHill Listen, my grandmother lived to be 97, and my great grandmother 98, and neither of them were nuns, so just bcuz Sister Jean is old, and she’s a fan of LC, doesn’t mean she’s unique. I’m sure there are plenty of old people who like Illinois basketball, or any other team for that matter. So, while Sister Jean may be the sweetest person in the world, just bcuz she’s a nun, doesn’t mean she can influence basketball scores. And I bet if you asked her, she’d tell you so...but believe what you want to believe

Krutwig has never faced a center like Kofi Cockburn - not in high school nor college basketball. 3" taller and 30 lbs heavier with excellent mobility and footwork. Krutwig is in for an awakening because Kofi is an NBA quality center and Krutwig is not

@@mikerichardson4618 Kockburb better have the lateral quickness to stay with Krutwig because he is crafty and one misstep is a layup. And though Illinois is very talented, Loyola is more experienced and fundamentaly sound. It's really a brain vs brawn battle should be interesting.

With Illinois like the other two top 5 seeds in the Big 10 that have been eliminated and Michigan State losing in the first four despite beating two out of the three current 1 seeds, they didn't play anyone outside of their conference. This puts them at a horrible disadvantage when they come up against other styles of play during this time. Wisconsin got the Luxury of playing a team that they already beat in Chapel Hill who really had NO business making the tournament and only got in because of name value. Iowa will go down next or at least won't make it to next weekend.

@@schnitzelack loyola struggled against the #9 seed, got down big early in the game, and ga tech didn't have their best player. Illinois is way too motivated, athletic and overall just better. They'll run loyola off the court.

Trust me when it comes to this "Sister Jean" thing. If sports teams really started to believe that having some form of spiritual advisor or counselor on their sidelines would give them a competitive advantage or elevate the play of specific players, then EVERY team would start to do it. Regardless of whether or not some on the team were religious or not.

I myself am a believer. But i personally dont think the lord has an opinion on who wins the game or doesnt. So dont think i believe they gonna win.... But i also dont believe that any divine power would be tricked into helping unless you truly believed? Like teams who arent religious would either become true believers.... Or theyd jus assume there isnt any divine power so adding a fake prayer would be pointless...
