    Coilovers will always be the better choice. Of course everyone has a budget. But take your time and save for the coilovers! Lowering springs are good quick option to lower your car for a good price. But coilovers has to many beneficial adjustments. Dampening, lowering your ride more, a strut that’s made for daily abuse, top mount camber adjustment (depending on company), custom spring rates! I ran BC coilovers for my 10th gen si 14k front 12k rear. Drove from NY to Florida 3 times. Beautiful comfortable drive!

    I am torn between several options for my Wrx. First, HKS Hipermax GT Coilover, Bilstein Trophy Cup Coilover, Bilstein Struts. My main focus is comfort and controlled sportyness. I feel the car is lacking a lot in suspension because it gets easily unsettled in corners by bumps. Also, I feel the suspension is bouncy on the highway if that makes sense. For example if there is a crest on the highway the car gets unsettled and takes a couple of seconds to stop bouncing. I would like to fix that without having to sacrifice too much comfort on broken pavement. Could you help me with that.

    Great video. I have a 2020 Accord. I live in Toronto Canada where it snows. I want to raise and lower the car due to the weather so I’m assuming that coil overs are better for me. Correct? Can you tell me, would I have to go to a mechanic to raise and lower my car? I want QUALITY. Something that will last and give a good ride as it is my daily drive vehicle. Can you please tell me about airlift springs. Something I can adjust from the inside of the car whenever I want. Please tell me what would be the best option and provide a number for me to call.

    I just wanted to lower my 2015 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport while maintaining my current driving comfortability. Not trying to race it or continually adjust the height on a daily basis. I went Tanabe NF210 Springs with H&R 15 mm spacers because every review I saw for these springs were positive. I kept my current factory rims and stagger look because I think they're sharp as is.

    @@jumppy8442 If I drive it in sports mode the ride tightens and is more firmer. It's not a smooth driving car in the least bit but it drives a littke softer in standard or Eco mode. My ES 350 was a much smoother ride but if course it wasn't as fast and powerful like the GS. I also went with 20 mm spacers in the rear and 15 mm in the front. No issues at all.

    First of all - Great video! And I have a question... I have BMW F10 530d xDrive and I wanted to lower it. But because of the fact that 30mm wasn't enough for me, there wasn't really much of a options for me. I was forced to choose between coilovers from KW (v3) with the price above 2k, or making some "custom" option with new shock absorbers and lowering springs. After hard time researching I choose BILSTEIN B6 pared with adjustable H&R coil springs (40-55mm / 30-50mm). So what do you think about this option? I didn't found someone with exact same combination for experience to be honest.

    We don't have a massive amount of knowledge on BMW fitment but when it comes to suspension for them it seems the Bilstein/H&R Combo is by far one of the most popular for those not looking to turn their car into a full track monster.

    I have Skunk2 lowering springs on my 99 Civic on my 95 240sx it has BC coilovers, came on the car when I bought it* but for ride quantity I like the Civic x1000000000 because the 240 is so off the chart stiff of a ride that I don't drive it because it kinda hurts... now the Civic is just kinda bouncy but its not rough it's a smooth bouncy

    I went with Sportline Eibach Springs for my 2006 Mustang GT and Steeda Springs for my 2015 Fusion AWD. My racing days are over so I'm just going for style. Handling is still a benefit, lower center of gravity too so I don't need all the camber, toe, caster, etc. adjustments. Great video by the way!

  • @5.0beers70

    I think its better to get new struts and shocks with lowering springs but also a panhard bar for the rear and camber bolts or caster camber plates for the front to align the car.

  • @mtncguy85

    @mtncguy85

    3 жыл бұрын

    If you lower about an inch you should be okay. It should align close to spec. No camber needed. Any aggressive drop you would probably need some camber correction kits.

  • @mtncguy85

    Also no you dont need struts and shocks right away. It will last for a while depending on conditions. By than you can upgrade to coilovers and have everything included in one installed.

  • @maperformance

    Definitely some good struts and springs. They will lower your car slightly, maybe 1-2 in. It will stiffen the ride but still be very comfortable if you go with a quality setup!

    I hate Silver and Fortune coilovers. I've had a ton of issues, leaky struts, poor build quality and toughness, especially if you track your car, these are cheap Chinese made parts. For a few hundred dollars more you can get HKS Hippermax 4 GT and these are Japanese built awesome coilovers. Especially on my 18 STI with triple factory power levels.
