LOWER LIMB NERVES ANATOMY & US (PART I): SCIATIC NERVE

Ғылым және технология

In this first video of lower limb nerves series we will take a look at the siatic nerve. We will learn the anatomy of the proximal half of this nerve, the deep gluteal space, and how to explore this area with ultrasound. Finally we will follow the nerve till its division in its terminal branches: the common peroneal nerve and the tibial nerve. I hope you enjoy this video about the sciatic nerve.

Dr. Inigoiri you have the absolute best diagrams and slides! I greatly look forward to seeing you give a live presentation when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. In my personal opinion this is the hardest region to scan in MSK. The anatomy is complex and the body habitus of the average American is very challenging. However, it is very rewarding when you can precisely locate the source of pain and perform an injection. Although you didn't include it here, I will routinely scan the sacroiliac joint and do sonopalpation to rule it out as the origin of referred pain. Your mastery of the subject is quite evident but you make it very accessible to the average practitioner like me. I am grateful to you.

Thank you very much. You are right, sacroiliac joint is an important structure to check, but US is not good enough to asess this area I use it only to guide procedures

Very good and excellent and usefull videos of yours dear Dr INIGOIRI...just a little detail ,in this video when arriving at the time 17min:12sc..the viewer could be somehow confused ,because you show us on the sonography and patient image the left lower limb but in the anatomic illustration it is the right one ,therefore following the nerves in this video could lead in some confusing imagination in our mind ..☺☺ but l am amont the suscribers in your videos channel ,and find it VERY USEFUL .SIMPLE. AND VERY INTERESTING ..CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD CONTINUATIONS🌹🌹🌹🌹🍀🍀🍀🍁🍁🍁🌷🌷🌷👍👍👍👍

Kudos for the Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you considered - Parlandealey Leaving Pain Process (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for learning how to cure Sciatica without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my BF got great results with it.
