Lyrics
Everyone's watching
To see what you will do
Everyone's looking at you
Oh
Everyone's wondering
Will you come out tonight
Everyone`s trying
To get it right
Get it right
Everybody's working for the weekend
Everybody wants a little romance
Everybody's going off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance
Oh
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let`s go
Everyone's looking
To see if it was you
Everyone wants you to come through
Everyone's hoping
It'll all work out
Everyone's waiting
They`re holding out
Hey
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let's go
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let's go

I was in college in 2002, in a bar, 19 years old, getting drunk on our fake ID's. I put a $10 bill in the jukebox. That got a lot of songs back then. I played Loverboy Working for the Weekend every single play of that $10. When the song came on, you could see people nodding there heads, getting into it. No one noticed the second time it played. The thrid time people started looking around getting angry. The plug was behind the machine hanging on the wall, no one could stop it. IT was a solid 45 minutes or so of Working for the Weekend, over and over. One of my life's greatest accomplishments.

I had the great pleasure of seeing Loverboy at Day on the Green in Oakland...I believe it was 1983. They were with Foreigner and a couple of other groups. everyone who is working for the weekend?
This song is still played every Friday promptly at 5pm on LAV FM in Grand rapids Michigan. And I always feel young again for a few minutes. Songs like this last.
let us travel back to the 80s when music was great!!!!
Those were the best days of my life. Carefree. 🍷🍷🙋♀️♥️👍
I remember when Loverboy first started to break. They were the exciting new style band. Energetic and creative. Hard to believe since these songs are classic now but when they were breaking out first time it was thrilling. They helped bridge a lot of 70s style rock fans into the 80s.
Das war noch richtig geile Musik
We were working for the weekend ,we would go to Canada drink beer 18 yrs old was the drinking age we had a sober driver, met awesome Canadian's had fun!!! Awesome song!! Brought back Great memories!!!
