Welcome back to the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show. Today, I'm at Loveland Ski Area in Colorado. This is my second time skiing at Loveland, but my first time skiing the trails off Chair 8 on the other side of Interstate 70. I'm excited to show you that area as it was extremely beautiful.

This trail is on the other side of Interstate 70. Last time I skied here, this area wasn't open yet...due to a lack of snow. I was quite nervous about this area because it looked so steep and...I assumed there would be a limited number of groomed trails.
This trail was great, but I had to stop about halfway down. It was just narrow enough that I wasn't sure if I could safely pass the skiers ahead of me.
This trail was fun, but it's both steep & narrow...and the landing area in front of Chair 8 is extremely small. I'm usually a pretty aggressive skier, but that small landing area had me a bit nervous. I ended up getting passed by two skiers who clearly had no fear whatsoever. It was actually really cool to watch them.
At this point in the day, I was ready to head back to the main area. These are the trails I took because it looked like the easiest way back...
There is actually a tunnel that goes under the highway, but I heard it was a giant sheet of ice. The Scrub Trail under Chair 4 would've been a great way back, but...as you can see it wasn't groomed. For me, skiing moguls is no fun at all as it usually leads to a wipeout. The route I took was insanely beautiful, but to be honest...I hated it. The path through the trees was extremely challenging and a bit dangerous. I kept looking for an alternate way down, but didn't really see anything. Anyway, towards the end of this trail, I got pretty good video of a snowboarder taking a spill.
After my exhausting trek back from the other side of the highway, I took a bit of a rest. Earlier in the day, I heard an employee mention that Richard's Run was a ton of fun because it was both fast and groomed. So, I really wanted to check it out. So, this is pretty funny. As I looked over the Spillway Trail, I took one look and thought, "Well that looks almost impossible." The next thing I know, I was actually going for it...a little look in my psyche, I guess.
Well, that's all I've got for you today. Thanks for watching the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show. Please subscribe to my channel and...keep an eye open for lots more fun & exciting videos. Thanks for watching & have a great week! We'll see you next time!

Any thoughts on catching some snow melt streams like East Vail Falls?
