Loved Ones of Jeffrey Dahmer, Zodiac and Other Serial Killers Speak Out

These people were loved ones of serial killers. Sierra Barter’s family held close a monstrous secret. And this year, it was her mission to discover the truth. Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. is known as the Golden State killer. In 2020, his brother-in-law of 40 years, James Huddle, spoke out about him. In 2017, a woman had no idea that the man she was having an affair with was one of America's most notorious serial killers. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

Depends on how they killed someone. Most serial killers have a signature style of killing. Not every serial killer was like Jeffrey, cannibalizing his victims. All don't necessarily go around strangling people. It's differences in manner, types of victims, their motive, etc... that make them "prolific".

@@strnglhld Dahmer's case is one of the most complicated yet fascinating cases of this era. if he was alive today, he could've helped psychiatrists, criminologists and behaviour analysts tremendously with today's technology...could've learnt more about his disorders, what drove him to kill, he's by far the most honest and cooperative serial killers out there...and besides, if there's nothing more to research about, why do you think we have so many documentaries and movies on Dahmer even after 3 decades? And the original IE interview was about 4 hours long, we only got to see about 30 minutes. It would be fascinating to see how Jeff behaved with people off camera..

One thing I know for sure Is that he was VERY different from other serial killers...

I've been watching whatever comes up about it... They (he and his Dad) don't say much at all about his mother. So I've seen many hours of material to find out a few minutes worth of into that he DID have mental illness running in the family; severe enough for her to be hospitalized. I've seen zero info about his brother, beyond the brief childhood demographic.

It's crazy to think that at any moment, at any time, you have already walked past a serial murderer or will walk by one someday. I've heard somewhere that in your lifetime, you could walk by up to 36 murderers without ever knowing it.

What's crazy is that many serial killers often know of others in the area, not personally probably but as seen on the news or police reports. It's like a secret club or something and they often enjoy the company I guess.
