really looking forward to this album. metal goddesses, and yes, their ability to put out content regularly is a main point with me. I have all 4 of their released albums already, and now here's another. ALL since 2017...amazing. Reminds me of Doro Pesch, I appreciate someone who KEEPS WORKING and feeding my metal beast..

Love this song and will certainly be getting the album when it comes out. I tend to agree with Paz about the last album. I just wish they'd done a video for Break The Wall from the Ep.

Oh and one thing.... you say the dsrummer doesn't get any credit and to some extent you're right but how about a shout out also for Miho, the bassist. Hardly anybody has anything to say about her but she is not only a a terrific bass player but also the band leader and the driving force behind Lovebites.

Great Reaction/Review guys!! Can't go wrong with Lovebites. They have a very different sound to other J-Metal bands out there. Haruna on the drums killing it as always! There is so much going on in this song, Listen again and you pick up little bits and riffs here and there. This song is off the planet greatness! This is the 2nd song i have heard from the upcoming album. So Hyped for there 3rd album in Late January. Do hope for an album review in the future if possible :)

I really like Clockwork Immortality - I actually prefer it to Awakening from Abyss. Maybe because it was the first one I bought (plus the special edition comes with the fantastic Battle in the East blu-ray). The Daughters of the Dawn blu-ray is also brilliant. Band-Maid are my favourites but Lovebites are right behind them.

Finally get to see this video again. They posted it when it originally came out and like two days later it was blocked in the USA. Lovebites is probably the best thing to come out of Destrose. However, Mardelas is right up there with Marinas' vocals. Her band is also top quality.

The drummer suffers with what a lot of drummers and bassists suffer with. When they are really good at what they do you don't notice them, despite being the driving force of any band, they allow the others to shine, most of the time you only really notice them when they are not so good. Admittly you do notice them if the others are not as good as them. Another is Ogawa, the bassist from Unlucky Morpheus, he is really good, but the 5 others just make it seem as if he's not there. It comes to something when to be really good at what you do, is to make people not notice you.

I'd probably give the "best lady drummer" title to another Japanese drummer, though. Fusion jazz drummer Senri Kawaguchi is in the conversation for "best drummer in the world, any genre, any gender." A legitimate generational talent...

But all I could find was the repost. because I had mentioned there was about a 20 to 30 second break that was part ad and part way to keep it from being ripped. I wasn't into subscribing at that time as I thought it was just youtubes way to send you ads(sorry about that) and I was especially impressed you looked past the costumes of VERSAILLES when reviewing their song REVENANT CHOIR and saw it for what it was which is a killer progressive heavy metal piece with outstanding musicianship etc.Others seem to have been unable to get the costumes out of the way of their review. ANYWAY just thought I'd mention it when you wondered who had recommended and I am pretty sure it was me. Thank you and keep up the great reviews

I hate to be that guy. I HATE to be that guy. But I'm sure you remember me by this point, the Minecraft and Kamelot guy. And I just gotta request another thing (that hopefully is available in my country *cough*Kamelot*cough*). Floor Jansen/Hank Poort from Beste Zangers. Take your pick, either one works and any song works, but the last Floor video we got was Ghost Love Score (and not even the Wacken version) over a year ago and Paz wasn't in that video. I really wanna see what you guys think of not just their performance, but the backing band's performance, especially in a format that isn't "WAAAAAHHHH FLOOR IS AMAZING WAAAA(insert clickbait face here)HHHHH." Mr Rock N Roll did a ton of videos of the entire series, and you don't want the guy you shared a podcast with to outdo you, do you? Anyways, keep up the great work, I may not always comment but I'm watching your videos and still waiting for that Minecraft vid. Seriously Hedgy, I wanna watch you punch trees. We should do a video called. 'One simple trick to see seven things you didn't know about Floor' with a thumbnail showing Paz and I looking like we've been electrocuted, fire in the background and a photo of Floor with a tiny detail circled in red. Then spend 8 minutes almost but not quite telling you something so we can maximise the advertising revenue. Then again maybe we shouldn't because we have some integrity. 😁

Thanks for the morning surprise gents! I’d heard the song, but not seen the vid, warrior getup & all. Btw, do I have to tell you Team Midori is where it’s at?! Miyako and Yui are great. Midori and Moa rule. Lovebites have said explicitly tho, their mission to play European style metal means to them: write in English. Accent makes it tough, but I understand as much as of UDO. And from the USA, I can’t name a band that sings in german. It’s what it takes to be higher in international/British charts than on their home charts. And reading the lyrics, they aren’t that bad. When written by the singer you get Rising, and songs like this one( (“Carry On, this is us, Carry On”), her spoken English is functional but not quite fluent. But the metal themes: MDO, Break The Wall, Hammer of Wrath, Apocalypse, are by the bass player who is just moving from speaking single words to “broken English” territory, but she’s getting the right help, and clearly knows and loves the metal/thrash tropes. The mission is their own, not marketing dept’s (similar to BabyMetal, who barely bothered with English), accepting that mission, i don’t feel it was forced. And it’s hard for me to gig the next town, I can’t imagine me targeting Australia making any business sense; but it (UK) is just where the peeps are that share their passions, so that’s where they work. Cheers! 🤘🎸😎 PS, not the best interview, but held in English; these are literally the lyricists writing those English lyrics. Kudos to their dedication and success! Miho bass, and Asami vocals. And note that Miho really loves her metal! kzread.info/dash/bejne/mYyOuLKQZqTRisY.html PPS I just found out that Miyako, who towers over the rest of the band, is only 5’2”. By my calculations, that make the five of them only 24feet. That’s some highly concentrated talent!

Peter Karargiris I mean my own personal experience. It’s not easy to do a gig, nor deal with jet lag, but to be expected to be world class when all of your days are jet lagged. But they’re not forced to do it, that’s how invested they are in doing European style music, that they commute to England 3-4 times/year, never mind committed to covering that in the budget!

As a Japanese I'm sick of this style, because here in Japan it's like 95% of local oldschool bands play melodic power metal, while they barely have made major export.
